A very rare case of concrescence I got at my clinic.

CONCRESCENCE OF MANDIBULAR 3RD MOLAR WITH A SUPERNUMERARY FOURTH MOLAR.

Concrescence reveals a rare developmental anomaly in which two fully formed teeth are joined along the root surfaces by cementum, and generally occurs in maxillary molars, especially in a third molar and a supernumerary tooth. Very few cases have been reported about the concrescence of a third molar and a supernumerary fourth molar.
Two studies reported the prevalence of concrescence in India of 0.019% in females and 0.09% in males.
So far, only 12 cases have been reported in the English language worldwide (2000-2017)

People think dental treatment is expensive.
Yes, it does involve a lot of technique and various material costs to be borne by the dentist to restore a tooth. But having said that, dental costs can be kept to a minimal by practicing preventive dental treatment. That would involve you visiting a dentist every 6 months for a routine check-up.
During such visits if dental problems are detected and treated early on, the added dental expense of advanced treatment can be avoided.

Also, to prevent tooth problems, learning and practicing good oral hygiene methods is very important.
