മുക്തിപ്രദയായവൾ.

മുക്തിദാതാവെന്നനിലയിൽ വിഷ്ണുവും മുകുന്ദനാണു. ദേവി കൃഷ്ണരൂപത്തിൽ ഗോപിമാരെ ആനന്ദിപ്പിച്ചുവെന്ന് കൃഷ്ണരാജനിൽ വിവരിക്കുന്നു.

കുബേരം എന്നത് കുബേരന്റെ നവനിധികളിൽപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു രത്നത്തിന്റെ പേരാണു. ആ രത്നരൂപിയും ദേവിയാണെന്ന് താൽപര്യം. ഐശ്വര്യപരമാണല്ലോ സമ്പത്തുകളെല്ലാം.

Mukunda :

She who gives salvation.
As a giver of salvation, Visnu is also Mukunda. Tantraraja says that Devi gave joy to the Gopis in the form of Krsna.
Mukunda is the name of a precious stone in the treasure of Kubera. Devi is considered to be in the form of that gem.

ആദ്യമായുണ്ടായ ഭൂതവസ്തു ആകാശമായതുകൊണ്ട് ആകാശത്തെപ്പറ്റി പറഞ്ഞു. എല്ലാ ഭൂതവസ്തുക്കളെയും പ്രസവിച്ചവളെന്ന് താത്പര്യാർത്ഥം.

വിവിക്തൻ എന്നതിനു നിത്യാനിത്യവസ്തുവിവേകമുളളവനെന്നും താൽപര്യാർത്ഥം. അങ്ങനെയുളള ജ്ഞാനികളിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നവളെന്നും ഗ്രഹിക്കാം.

ഉപാസനകളേതും ഏകാന്തതയിലാണല്ലോ അനുഷ്ഠിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടത്.

Viviktastha :

She who abides in secluded places.
Vivikta means secluded. It also means one who can discriminate between the self and non-self-between the permanent and the transitory. Devi is one who dwells within such persons of wisdom.

വേർപ്പെട്ട ചങ്ങലയോടുകൂടിയവൾ.
സർവ്വതന്ത്രസ്വതന്ത്ര.
ശൃംഖല = ചങ്ങല, വി = വിഗതമായ - നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടത്.

കർമ്മമാണു ഇവിടെ ചങ്ങല. ചങ്ങല ഇരുമ്പായാലും സ്വർണ്ണമായാലും അതുകൊണ്ടുളള ബന്ധനം ദുഃഖകരം തന്നെ.

ദേവി കർമ്മഫലത്തിൽ സ്പൃഹ - ആഗ്രഹമില്ലാതെയാണു പ്രപഞ്ചവ്യാപാരങ്ങളിൽ മുഴുകുന്നത്. അതുകൊണ്ട് ദേവി കർമ്മത്തിന്റെ ചങ്ങലയിൽക്കുടുങ്ങുന്നില്ല.

ഒരരഞ്ഞാൺ ബന്ധം പോലുമില്ലാത്തവൾ - തികച്ചും നഗ്നയായവൾ - എന്നും ഈ നാമത്തിനർത്ഥം കൽപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

Visrnkhala :

She who is unfettered, free in every way.
Srnkhala means "chain", vi means " lost or without". Here karma is the chain. Whether the chain is made of iorn or gold, the bo***ge caused by it is painful.

പഞ്ചപ്രാണങ്ങൾക്കും ഇന്ദ്രിയങ്ങൾക്കും ഈശ്വരിയായവൾ.
' പ്രാണ ' ശബ്ദം ബ്രഹ്മവാചിയായി ബ്രഹ്മസൂത്രഭാഷ്യത്തിൽ, പ്രാണാധികരണത്തിൽ, ആചാര്യസ്വാമികൾ സപ്രമാണം സ്ഥാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. അപ്പോൾ പ്രാണരൂപത്തിൽ - ബ്രഹ്മസ്വരൂപത്തിൽ - കാണപ്പെടുന്ന ഈശ്വരി എന്നു ഗ്രഹിക്കാം.

പ്രാണൻ ശക്തിയാണു. അങ്ങനെ ശക്തിയുടെ അധീശ്വരി എന്നുമാകാം.

Pranesvari :

She who lords over the five pranas and the senses.
Prana means the five vital breaths. " He is the prana of prana (breath of breath )," according to the Sruti.

Sankaracarya, in the commentary on the Brahma Sutra, has established that prana indicates Brahman. Devi is thus the Isvari who is Brahman. Prana is Sakti or energy. Devi is the ruler of all energies.

പ്രകടാകൃതി ഃ

പ്രകടമായ വിശ്വപ്രപഞ്ചത്തിന്റെ ആകൃതിയോടുകൂടിയവൾ.
ശ്രീചക്രത്തിൽ പ്രഥമചക്രത്തിലെ അധിഷ്ഠാനദേവതകൾ പ്രകടയോഗിനികൾ എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. അവരുടെ ആകൃതിയോടുകൂടിയവൾ എന്നും ഗ്രഹിക്കാം.
ഈ നാമം മുൻ നാമത്തോടു സന്ധിചെയ്ത് 'അപ്രകടാകൃതിഃ' എന്നും സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നു. അപ്പോൾ പ്രകടമായ ഈ പ്രപഞ്ചത്തിൽ അപ്രകടമായി വർത്തിക്കുന്ന ചിച്ചൈതന്യസ്വരൂപിണിയാണു ദേവി എന്നു ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.

" ഞാൻ ഞാൻ എന്നിങ്ങനെ സർവ്വരും അവനെ അറിയുന്നു. എങ്കിലും മായയ്ക്കധീനരായി 'ഞാൻ ശിവൻ തന്നെ' എന്നറിയുന്നില്ല.

Prakatakrtih :

She who is manifested in the form of the Universe.
Prakatayoginis are the deities of the first circle of the Sricackra.
This mantra then means, " One who is manifested in the form of those yoginis. "

This name may also be taken as Aprakatakrtih (unmanifested form). Then, the interpretation is that Devi is the Consciousness that exists unmanifested in this manifest universe.

" All beings know Him as " I ", " I ", yet because of Maya, they do not recognize Him as Siva."

ലോകത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനമായുളളവൾ.
ഉലകം ഉലഞ്ഞുതകരാതിരിക്കുന്നത് ദേവി എന്ന പ്രതിഷ്ഠ ഉളളതുകൊണ്ടാണെന്ന് താൽപര്യം.

പതിനാറു അക്ഷരങ്ങളുളള ഒരു വൃത്തത്തിന്റെ പേരാണു പ്രതിഷ്ഠ. ഒരു വരിയിൽ നാലക്ഷരം എന്ന ക്രമം. ആ നിലയ്ക്ക് ഛന്ദഃസ്വരൂപിണി എന്നു ഗ്രഹിക്കാം.

ഭൂമിയും പ്രതിഷ്ഠതന്നെ. പ്രതിഷ്ഠയ്ക്ക് കീർത്തീ എന്ന് താൽപര്യാർത്ഥം. ചിരപ്രതിഷ്ഠനേടിയ കവി, സ്ഥിരപ്രതിഷ്ഠ നേടിയ കവി എന്നൊക്കെ പ്രയോഗമുണ്ടല്ലോ.

Pratistha :

She who is the foundation.
The Sruti says," She is the foundation of the whole universe." According to the Brahma Gita, " The Consciousness, which is the Supreme, is the foundation of all things. "

Pratistha is the name of a meter with four syllables to a line, sixteen syllables in all. Devi is in the form of that meter. Pratistha also means "earth". There is also an implied meaning of fame. A poet who has gained solid fame or everlasting fame is a common expression. Devi is both the Goddess and the Goddess of fame.

ധർമ്മം അനുശാസിക്കുന്നവൾ.
വേദമാണു ദേവിയുടെ ആജ്ഞ. വേദസ്വരൂപിണി എന്നർത്ഥം.

"ശിവന്റെ ആജ്ഞ തന്നെയാണു ദേവി എന്ന് താൽപര്യം. പ്രകൃതിയോ, ജീവനോ, വികൃതിയോ അല്ല; എന്റെ മുഖത്തുനിന്നുദ്ഭവിച്ച ആജ്ഞതന്നെയാണു ദേവിയെന്ന് ശിവപക്ഷം. - ശ്രീഭാസ്കരാചാര്യർ, ലിംഗപുരാണം.

Ajna :

She who is commandment Herself.
The Vedas are Her commandments; thus, She is of the nature of Vedas.

Bhaskaracarya finds validity for this mantra in Linga Purana, Where Siva says, " She neither prakrti(cause, Nature), nor jiva or vikrti (effect). She is the eternal commandment that emerged of old from My mouth. "
