Why āperfect eatingā ISNāT the goalā¬ļø
Letās set the record straight: the idea of perfect eating often leads to stress, guilt, and unrealistic expectations.
I get itā¦weāre told that we have to follow these rules and eat in this āperfectā way to reach our goals. Iāve been there and have felt the same way.
But hereās why itās time to let go of the āperfect dietā myth:ā£
1ļøā£ Perfection is unattainable and unsustainable ā itās a recipe for frustration.ā£
2ļøā£ Trying to eat perfectly means no flexibility. This can lead to stressing over food, skipping social events, and not enjoying food. Food is meant to be enjoyed, not stressed over.
3ļøā£ If you're eating perfectly and make a mistake, you might say, "I already messed up, so I'll just start over tomorrow, next week, or next month". Imagine never having to start over againā¦
4ļøā£ When trying to eat perfectly, you eat what you think you're supposed to eat and when you think you're supposed to eat instead of listening to your hunger/fullness cues.
Try shifting your focus to mindful, balanced choices and the freedom to enjoy food without perfection. See the difference in how you feel when you can listen to your body.
The flexibility youāll have with food will translate into so much more flexibility in your life š
