Our Story
HOPE FOR CANCER PATIENTS (HCP) is an NGO registered under the Trust Registration Act, founded in 2015. HCP’s slogan hinges on 4S: SWACHHTA, SWASTHYA, SAKSHARTA & SWAROJGAR which will be a war cry against CANCER. Our main mission is to take suitable steps towards Prevention against CANCER. We are working in tune with the guidelines of the National Cancer Control Programme of WHO by generating awareness amongst children and adults in the regional languages throughout the country.
HCP has been in touch with large number of stakeholders in different parts of the country. In about 2 years, HCP got recognition and was given 80 G and 12 A certificates keeping in mind the passionate initiatives that it took in transforming people’s lives . It is spreading by way of its good work in other parts of the country. Like minded people and volunteers have associated with HCP and have been furthering its cause in Bihar, Jharkhand, Karnataka, West Bengal and Delhi. There are a large number of professionals and medical experts who are associated with HCP. There are more than 25,000 people who are direct beneficiaries of HCP by way of getting aware about the disease and learning life skills. The main beneficiaries are slum dwellers, hawkers, shopkeepers, poor kids, students in govt. schools, teachers, maids and other vulnerable women from the lower strata of the society.
HOW?
HCP conducts cancer awareness programs (CAPs) at govt. schools using puppet show, magic show, story telling, drama or game shows & quiz programs.
