We want to give back to the community and the best way to do that is through you✨

Antar had it’s first drive of 2021 in one of many slums in Banglore and with your help, we were able to help more than 40 families get through these tough winters.
We are grateful to all the people who helped us make a difference by doing what’s possible from your end and being there for our fellow people🤝

“Accept us and acknowledge our existence."

Voting- a right that empowers every adult CITIZEN of the 18 and upwards in this country.
However, many transgender individuals are deprived of this right. Who are we to forcibly take away their fundamental rights? What kind of government are we choosing if it cannot treat its subject with mutual respect and doesn't support suppressed communities?
The transgender community needs to be heard, and they need to be heard now. A conscious change in the way we address, talk, treat or see them should be made. Each individual of this community is fighting a battle to be accepted, heard, and especially, treated with humanity. Let's join them to fight this battle of survival and ensure that they are heard loud and clear.

“Aren’t we humans too?”

It is hard to have any faith in humanity when we have failed to treat each other as humans. For as long as society existed, there has always been a hierarchy. Anyone who doesn't conform to those terms is automatically an outsider and gets ostracised for existing.
The transgender community has been fighting for acceptance longer than we can even imagine. We have stooped down so low that we fail to recognize them as our equals. Educated or not, they are forced into begging and, worst come to worst, s*x work. Even in their time of need, the government has continued to ignore the welfare of these communities. It's disheartening that some of us have been stripped of their right to be treated as an individual. It is time that we start questioning our society and start uplift such communities.

“People think if you are a transgender, you will either beg at a signal or get into s*x work. But has anybody questioned why majority of the transgender community resort to it? Because we don’t get work. Why would we want to stand in the scorching sun to beg if we were given a employment? We are not saying make us ministers, give us a job at least to live a dignified life.”

They too are soldiers fighting an enemy unseen - when all of our resources run out, just like us, they too will struggle. What are we, if not support for our fellow humans, fighting the same fight we are, but on another battleground?

With your help, we can stand together and face these issues hand in hand with the verdant warriors of BBMP. Even the smallest bits to the lightest of grain bags can help these bravehearts. Let's aid them, as people for change.
