How does a doctor behave when one of his parents go under the surgeons knife?
Every day of the last week I replaced the knees of parents of medical doctors. That included mother of a Neonatologist (Delhi), Orthopaedic surgeon (Bangalore), Endocrinologist, ( USA), Anaesthetist (Hindupur) and MIS GI surgeon (Bangalore).
Really indebted to them for their trust on my skills and being gracious in the ward!
Ofcourse they are the best group of people who can really judge your skills and strengths. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Tomorrow, wife of a physician and sister of a paediatrician is scheduled!

30 Dec 24: Another Update
Today a TKR for a pathologists Mom and an interesting DAA robotic THR for a radiologist’s husband. He suffered form Ochronosis.

I was a part of national consensus meeting on Direct Anterior Hip(DAA) replacements in Mumbai. We discussed about how to train budding surgeons who are looking to adapt DAA, reducing complications and ultimately improving outcomes for our patients in this country. Great meeting, well organised, need of the hour!

Conducted a total knee workshop during the annual conference of Indian orthopaedic association . Course included basic techniques as well as robotics and other latest advances in joint surgery. Thanks to Dr Heiko Graichen from Bern, Switzerland and other esteemed national faculty. IOACON 24 organisers did a great job of hosting hall full of orthopaedic surgeon delegates!

Another beautiful day in Fortis, Bangalore. About 200 employees gathered to celebrate yet another milestone. We completed 1500 Mako robotic joint replacements, apparently highest ever in the state. This number included total knees, hips, partial knees and robotic direct anterior hips. Thanks to able administration and the hardworking team.
