Akshadhaa Foundation School

Akshadhaa Foundation School Akshadhaa Foundation is registered as not for profit trust in 2012 and is working boldly for children in the spectrum with varied interventions.

Registered not for profit trust, that is working with children with autism and other neuro-developmental disability, providing therapeutic interventions, life skill training & vocation skill training leading them towards meaningful engagement & employment. The parents are getting training and opportunities to learn strategies to work with their children to keep a smooth and generalized approach of teaching. The foundation runs a school program which is also focusing on young adults in the Autism spectrum, imparting pre-vocation skill training of few short listed vocations. Research shows that adults with ASD require considerable supports. Possibly only 15% achieve independence, and another 20% function well in the presence of community based support. This points out the great need for studies, in order to improve the situation for the estimated 65% who are not independent or not “functioning well”. We at Akshadhaa have undertaken different projects
• Creating viable models of vocational units of bakery, industrial laundry, screen printing
• Horticulture unit for therapeutic purpose, training and employability
• Digital and print media training, office assistant training
• House keeping job training

Healthy SMILES begin with the right CARE 🦷

Akshadhaa Foundation hosted a Free Dental Screening Camp in collaboration with the Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Vokkaligara Sangha Dental College & Hospital, Bengaluru.

All our students received comprehensive oral health check-ups along with thoughtful, guided insights into maintaining good dental hygiene—encouraging habits that support long-term oral health and confidence. In a space built on comfort and familiarity, these moments go beyond care, quietly reinforcing the importance of prevention as a part of everyday wellbeing.

Some BONDS don’t need reintroduction — they simply continue.

The Unilever team stepped back into Akshadhaa Foundation, seamlessly becoming a part of the Blessings Social Initiative once again — this time, right at the heart of production.
Alongside our students, they engaged in preparing stationery and paper products as we get ready for the upcoming academic season, ensuring every piece is crafted with care and purpose.
They also spent time creating candles and wax tablets, thoughtfully designed for upcoming festive collections and eco-conscious gifting.
And as the day unfolded, tasks turned into laughter, and laughter into celebration — ending with music, smiles, and dancing 💃
Because some experiences are not just continued, they are felt even deeper.

EXPLORING LIFE BEYOND THE CITY. 🌾

Our students from Akshadhaa Foundation spent time at MODEL VILLAGE, Rachenahalli, observing how rural communities function and support one another through everyday practices.

From understanding traditional livelihoods to noticing the simple routines that shape village life, the visit offered our students a closer look at how communities organize their resources, spaces, and daily activities.

Experiences like these encourage CURIOSITY and help our students see LEARNING BEYOND TEXTBOOKS — through observation, interaction, and real-life environments.

Our students at Akshadhaa Foundation had a wonderful LEARNING EXPERIENCE during their visit to SCIENCE GALLERY BENGALURU.
Through engaging exhibits on traditional agriculture, they explored how earlier generations practiced farming and learned about sustainable methods that worked in harmony with nature.

The visit sparked curiosity and encouraged our students to reflect on how science, innovation, and nature are deeply connected to everyday life.
This photo slideshow captures a few moments from a meaningful DAY OF EXPLORATION, LEARNING, and DISCOVERY. 🌱✨

Wishing everyone a very HAPPY WOMEN'S DAY from Akshadhaa Foundation.
To mark the occasion, we hosted a meaningful Women’s Inner Growth Session for our team, led by Ms. Vanitha Choudhari, entrepreneur, Founder of Radical Learning, and an inspiring leader, coach, and mentor.
The session offered a reflective space to pause, look within, and explore personal growth and emotional strength. Our women team members took a moment away from their everyday responsibilities — from lesson planning and therapy sessions to coordination and many unseen efforts — to come together, reflect, and celebrate themselves.

Women’s Day holds special meaning at Akshadhaa. What began as the vision of one woman has grown into a strong team of 35+ dedicated women who continue to carry forward the mission of the organization every day.
At Akshadhaa, our women are more than educators and therapists — they are compassionate changemakers and everyday superheroes for our students. 💛

At Akshadhaa Foundation, we believe awareness is the first step towards empowerment.

Our Health Awareness Workshop for Mothers & Girls created a safe and meaningful space for open conversations around menstrual health, PCOD, puberty, and menopause.

We were honoured to host Dr. Anuradha Sadashivmurthy, along with her faculty team, whose expertise brought clarity and confidence to every participant. We were equally privileged to have Dr. Bhalachander sharing his valuable insights, encouraging a more informed and preventive approach to health.

Together, this collective guidance truly enlightened minds and strengthened our community.
