Neerush Yoga We are couple yoga teacher. We are Neerush (Neeru & Anush). We take yoga sessions online with diet, lifestyle tips and counselling advise. We teach yoga online.

Join us in a journey for your holistic health. The practices include chanting, loosening practices, Surya Namaskar, Asanas, Pranayama and Relaxation techniques. We also teach kriyas like trataka, kapalabhati, Kunjal and Jala neti (Sinus cleansing). Each session focusses on a particular body part like abdomen or back. Our sessions are result oriented. We teach with love, compassion, dedication and

passion. The group session is 5 days a week. The personal one-on-one sessions are 3 days a week and practices depend on the health objective or the therapy for the concerned ailments. We also offer diet and lifestyle consultation apart from counselling. Our principle is protect the health of the healthy and remove the disease of the diseased. We also offer corporate yoga sessions.

Last week I saw a post in facebook, where a practitioner said, "yoga is not for me as I am unable to do advanced asanas in yoga. I am not that flexible." There was a regret feeling implied in her post. This is one of misconception- yoga=asana.

If yoga was only advanced asana, then what about old people and people with severe health conditions. No, yoga is for everybody and every Body.

Over the years, we have so many misconceptions about yoga. Some have been propogated by commercial minded entities in the profession themselves.

So here is the gist. Yoga has three main components, asana to bend the body, pranayama to mend the mind and meditation to realize the higher dimensions.

Patanjali in his yoga sutras has never mentioned any asana but left it to the choice of the practitioner. He just said the principle, whatever pose you choose be stable, happy for long periods by withdrawing the efforts. Then you achieve success.

We must be reminded that asana is just a important tool for higher experience not the goal in itself. Though it is incredible if the body is able to tolerate the rigors of advanced poses, performing it is not mandatory. More important is holding period in that pose or gaining a mastery over it.
Even shavasana can be choosen for this purpose but it is very difficult to be aware for longer periods as body may induce sleep or mind may wander.

Having said that, skipping the asana stage wont also help if your body is stiff and not prepared for meditation.

One must progressively move up the ladder and try to reach the meditation stage. Here comparison with any other practitioner wont help as everyone is unique. There is no room for regret feeling or comparison.

People must realize that therapy (weight loss etc) is just the byproduct of yoga and actual intent is spiritual only. The intention or sankalpa matters a lot in any activity. Spiritual level is like a seed, if it is healed then physical level is automatically healed.

Yoga is for self, a very personal thing and not display or sale. Only a fortunate few tread this path.

Love is the base of all relationships in this world. It can be love of the mother earth which feeds us nutrients and holds us in her palms, it can be the love of rain drop wanting to kiss the surface. It can be love of mother nurthering the baby in her womb.

Love is everywhere. Love is unconditional. Love is more giving than taking.

What a better love than love of the almighty god who empowers us from inside and this wonderful mystic world by his powers. Lets love him back and realize him one day by his supreme grace.
