The Indian Medical Association (IMA) KSB strongly condemns the violent attack on Dr. Balaji, an oncologist, was viciously stabbed seven times by the son of a deceased patient who had succumbed to stage IV ovarian cancer at Chennai .Despite significant blood loss due to his use of anticoagulants, Dr. Balaji has been stabilized. This incident has deeply shocked and alarmed the medical community across the nation. The implementation of superficial damage control measures by government bodies will not eliminate the pervasive fear under which doctors are currently operating. There is an urgent need for strong deterrent legislation, exemplary punishments, and proactive safety measures. Governments are being called upon to address this heinous act seriously. The repeated nature of such violence has left the medical profession in a state of profound concern and skepticism regarding the efficacy of proposed remedial measures. A comprehensive overhaul of the security environment within hospitals is paramount to restoring doctors' confidence. The IMA KSB stands in solidarity with Dr. Balaji and pledges to advocate for justice, security, and stringent laws to prevent future occurrences. It is imperative to acknowledge the stressful conditions under which doctors already work.

I completed my tenure as the president of Ima Yelahanka(2022-2023). During my period, Ima Yelahanka garnered noteworthy accolades.i gained friends, great atmosphere,Happy to share,State working committee meeting held yesterday at IMA KSB office has approved the following awards to our branch for the year 2022-23 .

1) IMA KSB Second best large medium branch award .

2) Rolling trophy for registering maximum increase in memberships during the year. 2022-2023,This shows the trust and belief of the members on ima Yelahanka

3) Individual award to Dr Y M Venkatesh for his contribution to IMA .

We shall be bestowed with this prestigious accolade during the forthcoming state conference.

ನನ್ನ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ, ನಾವು ಉತ್ತಮ ಮಾನ್ಯತೆ, ಅನುಭವ ಮತ್ತು ಟೀಮ್‌ವರ್ಕ್ ಅನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯೊಳಗಿನ ವಾತಾವರಣವು ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿತ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ಯಶಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲಕರವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಯಶಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಅಳೆಯಲು ಹಣಕಾಸಿನ ಮಾಪನಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ, ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುವ ಸದಸ್ಯರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲಾ IMA ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿನ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ನಮ್ಮ ಯಶಸ್ಸನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಾವು ಕ್ರಮೇಣ IMA ಅನ್ನು ಉನ್ನತ ಮಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಂಡೊಯ್ಯುವುದನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಂಬುತ್ತೇನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಂದಿನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಮತ್ತು ತಂಡವು ಹಿಂದಿನ ತಂಡಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನದನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವಿದೆ. ಅವರ ಬೆಂಬಲಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಅದ್ಭುತ ತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಕೃತಜ್ಞನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಶಾಖೆಯಾಗುವಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಯಶಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಭಾವಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನನ್ನ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒಂದೇ ವಾಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಲು ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಕೇಳಿದರೆ, ನಾವು ಸಾಮರಸ್ಯ, ಸೌಹಾರ್ದ, ಏಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಬಾಳ್ವೆಯನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಎಲ್ಲ ಸದಸ್ಯರ ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಹೇಳಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ವೈದ್ಯರನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಕಥೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಮತ್ತು IMA ಯಲಹಂಕದ ಅದ್ಭುತ ವೈದ್ಯರನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸುವುದು ಮುಂತಾದ ನಾವು ಸಾಧಿಸಿದ ಅನನ್ಯ ವಿಷಯಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನನಗೆ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಇದೆ.

ಐ ಎಂ ಎ ಯಲಹಂಕವು ಸಿ.ಎಂ.ಇ ಮತ್ತು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶಿಬಿರಗಳು, ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು, ಡಾಕ್ಟರ್‌ಗಳ ದೌರ್ಜನ್ಯದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ, ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸದಸ್ಯರನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿದೆ.. ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಭದ್ರತೆ, ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಯೋಜನೆ, ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಿದ ಹಲವಾರು ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ತೃಪ್ತಿ ಇದೆ. ಬರಲಿರುವ ತಂಡವು ಆ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬ ಭರವಸೆ ನನಗಿದೆ

The CME was successfully conducted on Friday in association with Aster CMI, with a 77 Independence Day theme, and more than 100 doctors in attendance.

Guest speakers, Dr.Naga Mallesh, Dr. Arul Furtado, and Dr. Prashant Y.M, shared knowledge about heart transplants, minimally invasive surgery, and robotics in cardiac surgery, which was well appreciated.

Dr. Trupta was felicitated for winning the state-level shuttle badminton tournament held in Mangalore, and IMA Yelahanka honored her. Participants were appreciated, and they inspired attendees for the upcoming state-level cricket tournament to be conducted by IMA Yelahanka.

Dr. Soumya was the guest of honor, who gave a talk on KSSS.

Dr. Surirajuv, President of IMA Yelahanka, appreciated the guest speakers, Aster CMI Hospital, and Dr. Soumya for enlightening members with knowledge, and stated that CME means knowledge sharing through the confluence of all doctors from different branches. He requested all members to pay GST and mentioned that notification and online payment details will be sent soon. He shared highlights of the newsletter briefly.

Members attended the CME with a color coding of the national flag, took photos, and enjoyed themselves. The singing of "Vande Mataram" by the doctors was well appreciated and created a feeling of national pride.

I would like to thank Aster CMI for sponsoring this 77 Independence Day special CME, the guest speakers for enriching our knowledge, Dr. Soumya for sharing knowledge on the Karnataka Social Security Scheme, and all the members for their active participation and support in making this CME a success.

I want to congratulate Dr.Renukadevi, President, IMA Women's Wing, Yelahanka
Dr.Archana muralidharan, Secretary, Women's Wing, IMA Yelahanka,for conducting health awareness camp for the girl students of Govt PU college, Yelahanka along with Screening for Thyroid disorders was organised in association with Abbott India from WOMEN's WING of IMA-Yelahanka. More than 1200 Girl students attended the Program. It was a preventive health awareness program.

I had opportunity to give awareness talk on preventable urology problems in women

Dr. Shanthala Girish, Vice President, IMA-Yelahanka also graced the occasion.

IMA Secretary Dr.Nalina.D gave a talk on Menstrual Hygiene. She gave good tips about care need to be taken during menstruation.

Dr.Pallavi Rao Endocrinologist presented a talk on Glandular problems in Adolescents. She spoke about Thyroid diseases, PCOS and Diabetes and told about prevention methods.

Dr.Swarna Shashi, Nephrologist spoke about Junk food and Lifestyle diseases. She told importance of healthy food and dangers of eating junk food.

Dr.Taranum Farooq, Gynecologist spoke about Sexual health and contraception. It was very well taken. She spoke about Morals of conduct. How to protect from sexually transmitted diseases and treatment of unwanted pregnancy.

Dr.Archana Muralidharan, ENT Specialist spoke about Noise induced hearing loss in adolescents. She gave tips to protect ear from harmful loud sounds.

Dr.Renukadevi, President, Women's Wing spoke about the important vaccinations to be taken in teenage girls like MMR, Influenza, Pneumococcal and Meningococcal Vaccines. She stressed upon the importance of HPV vaccination and how it can prevent the cervical cancers if taken before the first exposure to sexual activity.

Dr.Amruth Sindhu, Pulmonologist spoke about Allergic diseases in Adolescents. She Discussed about different types of allergic diseases of airways, symptoms and how to treat them.

It was well organized event. Girls were very receptive, they cleared their doubts at the end of session with IMA Consultants. Our Doctors were very happy to contribute to the needy. They all sent heart felt gratitude for providing the platform to serve the society.
