ಶ್ರೀ ಗಂಧ ತನ್ನ ಕಂಪನ್ನು ಸೂಸಿ ತನ್ನ ವೈಶಿಷ್ಟವನ್ನು ಮೆರೆವ ಹಾಗೆ, ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಂಘ “ಶ್ರೀ ಗಂಧ” ತನ್ನ ಸಧೃಡ ಜನ ಮತ್ತು ಆಡಳಿತ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯಿಂದ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ, ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಮಹತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಎರಡು ಸಾವಿರದ ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಗೂ ಮೀರಿದ ಇತಿಹಾಸವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಕೊಡುವುದು ಭಾಷಾಭಿಮಾನವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ಹಿಡಿಯುವುದು ಇದರ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ಇದೇ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಹಲವಾರು ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ “ಉಜ್ವಲ-ಕನ್ನಡ ಹಬ್ಬ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಉಡುಗೆ ದಿನ” ಕೂಡ ಒಂದು. ನಮ್ಮ ಭಾಷಾಸೊಗಡನ್ನು ಪಡಿಚಿಸುವ, ನಮ್ಮ ನಾಡಿನ ಕಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುವ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಳೆಸುವ ಒಂದು ನೂತನ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ.
