"A patient's words still echo in my mind. A stranger from abroad, in tears, reached out to me, desperate for help. 'Dr. Bhat, can you please treat me? I have a painful fistula that's unbearable. I don't want to live anymore.' I was taken aback, but my response came from the heart: 'Please come, I'll take care of you.' Miraculously, he arrived at my clinic the next day with his father.
Today, a year later, his heartfelt gratitude reminded me why I chose this profession. Treating those in suffering is truly the best profession in the world. I'm grateful to my teachers and mentors who instilled in me the values of compassion and care."
Story of a patient after one year.
Almost a year and a half ago I flew to the other side of the world to see a doctor who could cure me. When I arrived, I cried to him that if he couldn't help me, I was probably going to die, and he replied that we would all still be at my wedding, which seemed fictional to me at the time, but day by day I began to believe it more and more.
That doctor/angel is you. A two weeks ago it was the anniversary of my return to Israel, and I can say with a whole heart and pride that you are the man thanks who caused this that I stayed in this world and got my life back. How do you thank the man who saved your life? There is probably no way and all the gifts you can buy and countless thanks you can say will not be enough but I will still say it again, thank you for saving my life, thank you for giving rest and relaxation to my family from the madness I have reached, thank you for the warm attitude that made everyone feel at home, thank you, to God who created you, thank him for giving you the right, talent and ability to heal so many people, thank you to the team that could not have been better than him, thank you for the crazy journey, thank you for making me get to know the amazing India that I probably wouldn't have had the opportunity to discover in any other way, thank you for making me understand that our body is like a machine and that we need to put only the best into it and maintain it in the best way possible like a motorcycle for example, thank you for making me understand that health is the most important thing there is and everything else is just a bonus, thank you for making me stronger mentally.
