During these tough times of isolation and quarantine due to the global epidemic , most of us are either working from home,or spending lot of time in front of gadgets,either mobile,laptops,desktops
These are going to affect our health if we don't take care
Some tips to keep your eyes and body healthy are
1BREAK, BLINK,BREATHELong hours in front of the screen can cause eye strain,so take frequent breaks, by either closing your eyes for 20 seconds or look at a distant object outside your window or balcony.Follow the 20-20-20 rule. Every 20 minutes , take a break for 20 seconds and look at an object 20 feet away
2.Our eyes get dry , so drink lot of water and remind yourself to blink more often or close your eyes every 10 minutes for a few seconds. Since your at home its a good time to get up and walk around the house, to reduce shoulder and back strain
3.ADJUST WORKSTATION
At home adjust your work station , so you are sitting comfortably,with back straight, feet firmly on the ground and the laptop or computer at slightly lower level than your eyes so you are looking slightly down at the screen to avoid neck pain
