The Department of General Surgery, in collaboration with Intuitive Surgical, successfully hosted the Da Vinci Xi Robotic Surgery Workshop on 16th & 17th October 2025 at the RRMCH Campus. 🎯👨‍⚕

This two-day advanced workshop brought together faculty, residents, and students from General Surgery, OBG, ENT, Surgical Oncology, Gastroenterology, and Urology, creating a dynamic platform for learning and innovation. 💡

Participants explored the cutting-edge features of the Da Vinci Xi robotic system, gaining hands-on experience in robotic-assisted surgical techniques and understanding the future of minimally invasive surgery. 🦾🔍

🩺🌿 Geriatric NCD Screening, Adolescent Health Screening & Counselling Programme @ UHTC, Channasandra 👩‍⚕👨‍⚕

As part of the nationwide , the Department of Community Medicine organized a Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Screening for the Elderly and an Adolescent Health Screening & Counselling Programme at the Urban Health Training Centre (UHTC), Channasandra on 26th September 2025. 💚

🌟 Event Highlights:
🕯 The programme began with a lamp-lighting ceremony.
👩‍⚕ Dr. Srividya V, Professor & HOD, addressed common geriatric health issues and emphasized early detection & professional care.
👩‍⚕ Dr. Manasa A R, Assistant Professor, discussed adolescent stress management and the facilities available at .
💉 Free GRBS screening, BP monitoring, and spectacle distribution were conducted for elderly participants with support from Rotary International.
👨‍⚕ Dr. A C Shyam, Professor, Department of Community Medicine, also graced the occasion.
👵👧 Around 45 elderly and adolescents benefited from the session.

🚑 The programme was organized under the guidance of Dr. Srividya V and coordinated by Dr. Manasa A R along with the dedicated UHTC team.

As part of the nationwide , a Maternal and Child Health Screening, Awareness & Immunisation Programme was successfully conducted at the Urban Health Training Centre (UHTC), Channasandra on 25th September 2025. 🌸

The event, organised by the Department of Community Medicine, focused on empowering women and promoting healthy practices among mothers and children. 🌿

🌟 Highlights:
🔹 Interns conducted awareness sessions on nutrition, immunisation & health check-ups.

On 24th September 2025, the Department of Orthopedics hosted an enriching CME session combined with a hands-on Saw Bone Workshop.

The day began with a warm welcome, lighting of the lamp, and a soulful invocation prayer. Dr. Gopinath K. M., HOD of Orthopedics, set the tone with a welcome address, emphasizing the importance of advancing knowledge in knee care. 🙏🕯
