👩‍👩‍👦 Struggling to get your child to respond when you call their name?
Don’t worry — here are 4 simple and playful ways to practice at home!

💡 **Why it matters**
Responding to their name is one of the first signs of attention and social connection. If your child doesn’t always respond, you can gently encourage it through fun, everyday play.

Here’s how ⬇️
🫧 **Bubbles** – Blow bubbles and call their name as they float around.
⚽ **Roll a Ball** – Roll a ball while saying their name so they connect sound with action.
🪞 **Mirror Play** – Try a hi-five in front of a mirror while calling their name.
🍎 **Favorite Toy/Snack** – Hold out something they love while calling their name.

✨ These fun activities build attention, bonding, and communication skills.

Learning to count becomes a joyful journey when little hands explore with colors and creativity. In this activity, each number comes alive—one dot for number one, two dots for number two—as children build early math skills through simple, playful steps. With every brush of paint, they’re not only discovering numbers but also gaining confidence, independence, and a love for learning. Early intervention turns these small moments into powerful milestones, helping young learners grow brighter, stronger, and ready for the future.” 🌟🎨

🗣️ Oro-Motor Exercises – Small Movements, Big Milestones

Oro-motor exercises are simple yet powerful activities designed to strengthen the muscles of the mouth, lips, tongue, and jaw. These exercises play a crucial role in:

✅ Speech clarity – improving articulation and sound production
✅ Feeding & swallowing – supporting safe and efficient oral functions
✅ Breath control – enhancing voice quality and speech fluency
✅ Overall oral coordination – helping with daily communication and social interaction

💡 They are especially beneficial for children with developmental delays, speech and language disorders, or conditions like cerebral palsy, autism, and Down syndrome.

At Sakya Foundation we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to communicate confidently. Through guided oro-motor activities, we help children build the strength behind every smile, sound, and swallow.

✨ Because therapy is not just about exercises—it’s about empowering voices and creating milestones.
