It’s a great feeling when your work gets recognised amongst peers and seniors.
Grateful to KOACON 25 for recognising my work with the prestigious ‘Dr JS HEGDE’ best consultant paper award.
This is my 3rd KOACON best paper award,
hope to continue to strive for many more in the future.
It wouldn’t have been possible with out the trust of my patients and the support my team.

Using technology to the fullest!!!

We are glad to share that we successfully treated an osteoid osteoma ( Benign Bone tumor) with Navigation guided Radio frequency Ablation.

It has great advantages over conventional CT guided RFA like
Precision - Easier to localise the nidus so more precise
Safety - Less radiation exposure to patient
Convenience - Less time consuming

Excellent scientific program, had great interaction with young surgical oncologists from across the country, followed by fantastic Turkish food at Kebapci OZ with family

Dear friends

I am pleased to share with you that we have crossed the milestone of 1000 limb saving/salvage surgeries this month.
This journey started in Oct 2016 when I was offered the privilege of starting the department of musculoskeletal oncology at MSH, and it’s been a very fulfilling and enriching journey since then.
I cannot thank Almighty enough for giving me this privilege of being able to save limbs of 1000 patients with bone and soft tissue cancers and giving them a new lease of life.

This feat wouldn’t have been possible without the contribution and team efforts of various teams - anaesthesia, critical care, plastic, rehabilitation, paediatric oncology, medical oncology and radiation oncology.

Special thanks to our Chairman Dr Devi Shetty sir, Prof Arun Ranganathan,Dr Rupert, Dr Nitin Manjunath, Dr Dilip Kamat and Marketing team for all the support.

A challenge that was accepted without the expectation of completing it. But it was so much more fun to be a student again and understand the nitty-gritty of the functioning of a hospital.

Bulls eye 🎯
Osteoid Osteoma is a benign bone tumor, decade back they were treated with surgical removal but today with advance technology we can ablate the lesion with just a needle.

Two proximal femur cases treated with Percutaneous CT guided Radiofrequency ablation yesterday at Narayana Health, Bangalore.

It’s a fantastic procedure! No major cuts, no bone removal, provides instant pain relief and done as a day care procedure.

March 2nd weekend is always blocked for IMSOS. Had a great time in Chandigarh this time, fun catching up with teachers, friends and colleagues as always. Gave a couple of talks but icing on the cake was our collaborative study being selected for gold medal ( Rajat Gupta Chandigarh) and best poster award (collaborative study with Dr Vishu Ramanujan, Apollo Proton, Chennai).
Collaboration is the way forward!
Glad to continue as Exco Member for the society for 2nd year.
Looking forward to IMSOS 2025 in Goa!!!
