“Am I having a heart attack?”
No bro. That’s the cheese from last night fighting for its life.
😓 Chest discomfort doesn’t always mean a heart attack —
But it doesn’t always mean “just gas” either.
Here’s the catch: Acidity and cardiac symptoms often overlap.
⚠️ Acidity (GERD) can mimic:
• Chest tightness
• Burning sensation rising upward
• Pain that worsens after food or when lying down
• Sour taste in mouth
But if you’re over 30 and this keeps happening — don’t guess.
👀 How to tell the difference:
✅ Heart-related pain = heaviness, breathlessness, pain on exertion
✅ Acidity = burning after meals, bloating, better after antacids
✅ Still unsure? Get an ECG. Not a Google search.
🔍 Chronic acidity might point to:
• Acid reflux/GERD
• Hiatal hernia
• H. pylori infection
• Stress and poor gut hygiene
• Or… unhealthy eating + midnight pizza habits 😬
