Sending out my fifth book into the universe today. ✨
After over two years of creating short videos and writing a weekly health column, I felt the need to bring all the essentials of a healthy life together in one place. And that’s how No Gods, No Gurus: A Radical Guide to Your Wellbeing was born.
This book dives into the most important conversations in health today - nutrition, movement, sleep, mental health, hormones, your home & environment, and longevity, all explained in an evidence-backed, practical, and easy-to-follow manner.
It’s now available for preorder and will be released on 2nd December.
I’d be truly grateful for your support in preordering and in sharing it with anyone who might find it useful. Thank you🙏❤️

Friends helped me generate these art-ified images of myself yesterday- riding the new wave of image generation by ChatGPT released yday and my whole Twitter timeline was in the style of Studio Ghibli. It’s not a straightforward thing to use AI to take on the style of artists who have spent decades fine tuning their art, it is definitely a topic for much debate and I am equally conflicted on how to accept this or where it will go. My 16 year old son feels this is not right and he had no appreciation for this trend. Sharing a few of these images as a matter of record keeping of this important day on the internet - it’s the sign of bigger waves to come and we have no clue how it’s going to affect our lives.
1. Ravi Varma style
2, 4 and 5 Studio Ghibli style

Last evening, I was at a special dinner hosted by Gurugram’s award winning restaurant .in (no. 79 on Asia’s 50 best in 2024). They have an ongoing pop up at Zarf in Sheraton Grand Whitefield(24-26 March- dinner). You can check the details on their page

It was a delight to meet Chef Anuj Bhalla .bhalla.129 and his passion for cooking and serving Indian regional food was evident in our converations with him.

We had a mix of small plates and main courses and the desserts were irresistable. You can take a look at the dishes and their names in the post. The barley-quinoa salad with strawberry vinaigrette was juicy and perfect for summer. The corn khichdi, a take on Indori bhutte ki khees had corn in different textures and topped with crunchy sem ki beej and a trio of chutneys is the way a plate of elevated comfort food should taste. The husband (and dining partner) raved over the haleem (not greasy or OTT spice laden) and the gongura chicken (tender and just hot and tangy enough from the gongura sauce). The bakarkhani served with the haleem - I could smell the saffron aroma wafting across the table. One of the desserts was pure nostalgia (a thick layer of cream on brioche toast topped with honey comb) and the other was an utterly playful take on chocolate kulfi.
As husband and I are both teetolaers, we had their highly recommended . Their award winning mixologist .mixologist and his love for creating all natural flavours inhouse for the beverages served in the restaurant was evident in the refreshing glasses of house-soda nimbu chilli lemongrass and the Saffron Mule we had. It’s amazing to have restaurants that pay attention to the teetotalers as well :)

Thank you for hosting us! It was a memorable and delightful experience.

Wore this saree to Khajuraho, thinking it would pop against the brown monuments. Instead, I ended up twinning with the most glorious bougainvilleas.

If you want a year of happiness, get married.
If you want 10 years of happiness, get a dog.
If you want a lifetime of happiness, take care of a garden.

Grab a big chopping board or lazy Susan- scatter some fruits, mobile khakhras/crackers/ vadams, a couple of dips (premade or bought), cherry tomatoes, carrots and cucumber sticks and you have an easy snack board ready for a Diwali party!
This works perfect when you want light snacks for people who drop in early evening or something to get the party started before an Indian meal as cheese boards with nuts/cheese etc tend to be very filling.
Let me know if you try this idea out :)
