Namo Vishwa Nayaka who is making India a Vishwa Guru
Our respected Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modiji is the main reason behind the drastic change in the image of India globally, after 2014. With his progressive thinking-planning, undying enthusiasm, global thinking, decisiveness and concern for global peace, Modi is a model prime minister. There is no doubt that he can be called Vishwa Nayaka.
When all the powerful countries of the world, which were flourishing with money and arms, were struggling after the attack of Corona pandemic, the way Modiji controlled India, with his concept of Atmanirbhar and put the country on the path to becoming the third largest economy in the world is commendable. He instilled confidence in people and gave them courage. He taught how the whole country should unite and fight together when faced with difficulties.Today the whole world is looking at admiringly and celebrating the work of Modiji.
The entire world is talking and discussing about Modiji's vision, important steps taken to transform India into a powerful country, whether it is manufacturing of domestic products or market expansion, care for farmers, Swachh Bharat Nirman, economic and social progress, improvement in people's standard of living etc.
The credit for the success of Chandrayaan 3 should certainly go to Modiji. Scientists themselves are proud of the inspiration they have given to scientists.
Modiji played a major role at the G20 summit where the Delhi Declaration was unanimously accepted by taking the confidence of all the leaders; African union was included in the G20; Modiji won the trust of all countries, he showed the wisdom of seeking peace between Ukraine and Russia without taking sides, and he developed cordial relations with all the nations. Such is the charisma of the world guru.
At the first meeting with Modiji on July 21, 2017, I said, “we are fortunate to have you as our Prime Minister. He responded humbly. I had a strong reason to say this. The reason why yoga has become a brand at the international level is obviously Narendra Modi ji. The Prime Minister, who is a yoga practitioner himself, has a great love for yoga. Though yoga has been prevalent in the country for five thousand years, it is Modi ji who has given it global recognition. The United Nations announced the International Day of Yoga after, due to Modiji's efforts, that people became more inclined towards yoga at the global level.
We celebrate the International Day of Yoga every year through our Shwasa Yoga Institute. We honor many 'unsung heroes' who have made extraordinary contributions to yoga by being yoga masters, by conferring the 'Yogaratna' award. Many of the yoga gurus who received the Yoga Ratna Award later went on to receive the country's highest honor, the Padma Shri Awards. It is an honor for the Swasa Yoga Institute. We came to know how wide the fame of Yogaratna award is spread when Modiji himself took interest in it and sent words for me, through Mr. Ananthakumar to meet him. As I stepped into the Prime Minister's Chamber, he greeted me with a smile, "Aai Ye Swasguruji". "I have heard a lot about you. You are a great yogi. You have achieved great things at such a young age. How do you select the yoga practitioners who will be awarded the Yogaratna award," he asked curiously. He listened to its full details with interest. When I presented him with a shawl, Rudrakshamala, which I had taken with love, he remarked "Bahut saja karke laye hai" (You have brought it with great care). I said “I have not come to meet the Prime Minister. I have come to meet a Yogi." He smiled and it was the smile of a yogi with inner divine light.
We met for the second time on 5th December 2019, and I invited the Prime Minister to the 'Harajatra Mahotsav' of Sri Panchamasali Jagadguru Peetha. I gifted him Ishtalinga, Vibhuti, Netipatre and Yoga book. Seeing the Ishtalinga, he was curious and asked, 'What is this?' ‘This is Ishtalinga. Its founder was Vishwaguru Basavanna of the twelfth century. It is not a stone. When I explained that it is prepared from Ayurvedic herbs, he was happy and said he would proudly wear the Vibhuti, and use the Netipatre, which is very popular with yoga practitioners. Modiji listened with interest when he informed that the Panchmasali society is always ahead in terms of country and devotion and bid farewell by assuring that he would certainly visit the Panchmasali Jagadguru Peetha at Harihar.
After Modiji became the Prime Minister, the way the world looks at India has changed. There is a lot of love for yoga and yogis. There is high respect. I travel around many countries as a yoga preacher. I invite anyone to come to India for higher yoga practice. In 2016, an eighteen-year-old boy caught my attention while on a yoga retreat in Chicago, USA. Earlier, whenever I asked the class who would like to come to India to practice yoga, the boy was unresponsive. But one day the boy enthusiastically said that he wants to come to India. When asked why this change, he said, “You have a new Prime Minister. He himself does yoga. It gave me motivation.”
On his birthday, I extend my hearty wishes to the Vishwa Nayaka PM Modiji, who filled the country with self-confidence, brought its people in unity, and put yoga on the global map and above all else, who is working tirelessly for the country. He deserves our admiration and unflinching support.
