Are you preparing the child for their first dental visit?
Our children have fear of the unknown and it can only be made worse by whatever fear they perceive from the surrounding.
So it's important we prepare them for what is to come, through videos, books, showing the pics of the clinic and docs. All these lill gestures have a very helpful impact on the highly creative and imaginative minds of the children. It helps them prepare themselves.

Do let us know, if there was anythg else you tried that helped our children prepare better for their dental visit.

It had been such a wonderful experience to speak about something very close to my heart.

Now we as pedodontist have slowly taking our place with pediatric dental clinic for children, but we have to make those lill changes in the way we practice to become more inclusive, more accessible and slowly pace out path towards dental care for our children with special health care needs.

Super excited to speak about" setting up of a dental clinic for children with special health care needs "...

The more I look around I realise how our roads, streets, hotels and even dental clinics are not very accessible to children and adults of special needs. Though the planning should start from the construction time, there are lot of smaller changes that we can make in our existing set up, to make it more accessible. All it requires is "the thought" to do so.

Dental clinics exclusively for special needs individual may be a far fetched dream, but modifications to accommodate and make it accessible is somethg I am going to work on.

Masters A 's mom had come for his routine check up, after doing is treatment I also observed his anterior teeth had a lot of plaque.
His mom said he has too much sensitivity there and doesn't let them brush in that area.

So we had a brushing session at clinic. Treatment is not complete till home care and preventive care is emphasised and achieved.

Loved seeing him brush his teeth, while enjoying the cartoon
