Super excited to be selected for Pre-incubation of Women Startup Program 4.0, NSRCEL, IIM, Bangalore.

Today was the first session of pre-incubation and the atmosphere was charged with enormous enthusiasm from the most vibrant ladies. 

I look forward to working diligently and learning all I can during the next 3 months. 

It's been a great experience going through the MOOC which started at the end of May. 

I  have come across the most amazing ladies who not only worked with their ventures but also helped others get through the course.

Kudos to all the participants of the Women start up program 4.0.

During my long break from Instagram a lot of great things happened.

I enrolled in the Women's Start up Program 4.0 conducted by  NSRCEL, IIM, Bangalore. 

It was a great learning experience and I met a lot of brilliant women entrepreneurs during the period of our course. All of this was online. 

On the 25th of August, a few of us from the 4.0 cohort got to meet the amazing team at NSRCEL and who co-ordinated the entire course and helped us get through it. 

I must say the experience of being on the IIMB Campus and meeting these awesome people was truly exhilarating!

Hear it from Cathy who lives in Yorkshire,UK, close to the beautiful Pennine Moorland. A nature lover who is doing her bit for the environment by repurposing fabric and creating magic with her hands. 

"I had always enjoyed art and creativity, doing lots of painting and drawing with my two boys as they grew up.

I began making fairy dolls around three years ago, taking inspiration from all around; nature, my love of vintage and antique fabrics and laces etc.

I tried different styles until I settled into my current one. I use mostly all vintage or antique fabrics, repurposing beautiful jewels, ribbons and millinery flowers.

I also make spun cotton ornaments from time to time which is something I absolutely love doing.

I finally have my own studio overlooking the lovely Colne Valley hillside."

My message to the Ennelle community is:

Have you heard of sea glass? I didn't know what it was until I googled it. 

Sea glass is smooth, frosted, beautiful pieces of glass that are found on the beaches beside oceans and seas. They are formed from man-made glass products and are polished and refined by the waves and currents of oceans, as well as a few other natural phenomena.

Here is Rachel, Mum to four gorgeous children under the age of 12, based in Bedfordshire, UK. She uses sea glass to make the most amazing pieces of art. 

"We all started collecting sea glass from the North coast years ago whilst visiting my in-laws & it’s something we have loved doing together. I’ve always loved crafting & so I started to create pictures & gifts using the gorgeous pieces we found. I started going to craft fairs last year & now have my own website www.craftyfoxx4.co.uk which I’m really excited about."

Her message to the Ennelle community:
"I have always suffered from anxiety, so putting myself out there & starting a new venture was always a worry. But the advice I give to everyone I meet now is, Go for it - step out of your comfort zone & reach for your goals - with all of the crafting communities support it’s always possible 🥰"

Today I introduce you to Linzi from a little village close to the river Wensum in Norfolk, UK. She creates the most amazing looking fairy dolls. Each one is so gorgeous and unique. She even gives them different hair styles like at the salon. She has named her store after her youngest daughter, Bonnie. 

Here is what she has to say:
"All my life I was soul searching for my calling- it wasn’t dental nursing, hairdressing or any of the other jobs I’d dabbled in. A spiritual lady told me that when I reached 35, I would know. And she was absolutely right! 

" As a student I always had an artistic flair. So I was the girl who would get asked to do all my friends' arty homework."

"I’d been working in my sister's salon for about two years. 
It all began on one gloomy day during the lockdown. My scissors were growing cobwebs and I was no longer able to work at the salon.
To entertain the children I ordered some crafting materials online and the plan was to spend the day together making fairies. 

After an hour the children grew bored and went off to do their own thing. I continued in my guilty pleasure and the fairies were born😊

A friend of mine suggested I make an instagram page, so I did just that. As time passed, my work evolved and I opened my Etsy shop.

The rest is history, Bonnieboofairys was officially established."

The indigenous people of North America have been using the Evening Primrose Plant as an herbal remedy for generations. In Europe, it became known as the “king’s cure-all” and was used in a number of tinctures and tonics.

Evening Primrose Oil has been used as an herbal remedy for centuries.

The seeds are mainly used in the  extraction of Evening Primrose Oil. When the seeds are ready, they are harvested and crushed to extract a buttery yellow Evening Primrose Oil.

"Hello! My name is Jodie Goodwin, my little business is 'My Little Joys' and I’m from Hertfordshire, England."

"I started my little venture back in Feb 2021. I’ve always been creative and that really blossomed during lockdown. I was making little crafts and pieces for my flat which I rent with my partner. My partner and I have been trying to save for a house for a long while and felt we were getting nowhere. That was until I suggested selling my creations for other people to enjoy (my flat couldn’t fit another creation in it 😂) as well as putting all the money I earn into our ISA to get a deposit for a house 🏠 Nearly a year later and we’ve now got our deposit! I’ve enjoyed my little business so much that I will continue bringing smiles to peoples faces. Not only has it given me and my partner a house, it’s really made me come out of my shell with my goofy personality that not many people have seen and given me the confidence boost! It was a blessing in disguise!" 🥰
