About Yumi
 
Having practiced yoga in many countries, Yumi found her love and calling in Ashtanga Yoga in her home country Japan. She felt something “clicked” and “ shaken” internal, something deep & internal. Her yoga journey continued after she moved to Australia in 2004 sharing her practice with people. Yumi has spent extended time in India to deepen her studies, including yoga philosophy and ancient texts under the guidance of Dr.Vijaya Manja since 2011.
Her passion is to share the light which her teachers have shown her and to assist others to get closer to the true self within. Yumi’s class is always focused on the conscious breath and the connection of the breath with the movement.
 
The highlight of the workshops is to create awareness of our own breath and the power of breath. The focus is to bring breathing into practice and how to move body and breath as one unit, how to fill the stillness with the right breath work.  In the workshop we will discuss “ practice of yoga,” fundamentals of asana practice with Q&A.

Trikonasana or Utthita Trikonasana, also known as a the Triangle pose comes in the standing sequence of all Ashtanga Series.

To the ordinary eye , this posture may seem simple but it is a super dynamic and advanced posture .

Trikonasana is not about holding the big toe, it is the alignment and adjustment legs, hips, torso and arms that gives it the geometric name ‘Triangle !’ where the alignment is at 90 degrees of the hips and torso.

when performed under the guidance of a trained teacher with proper alignment and practice this angle can be achieved.

Benefits of Trikonasana

✅strengthens back of the legs
✅Opens the torso at the lower spine
✅opens the shoulder blades

The intense forward bend at the hips stretches the hamstrings and back muscles.
The asana builds a relationship with the pelvic floor and creates the foundation for more advanced asana like Pinchamayurasana, Karandavasana & the headstands.

☀️ Do not worry if cannot reach the full range of asana in the beginning.

☀️With each breath learn to stretch downward from the pelvic area & lower back.

☀️Keep shoulders relaxed and away from the ears

☀️bend your elbows to make room for the fold.

💥The most common mistake in forward folds is the tendency to pull your toes, instead stretch forward.

⚕️Health benefits:
✅Increases blood flow to the pelvic region
✅Aids to purify liver & spleen
✅Aids to clean the re**um, ✅reduce gas in the abdominal area.

Namaste I hope all are doing fine from tomorrow. Navaratri celebration starts. This is the wonderful time to do the spiritual practice like JAPA POOJA chanting and other practices. From tomorrow we will be starting practices in Sadhanaganga. This is a practice which helps us to make spiritual journey strong and better.
From 6:15pm to 7:00pm (indian time) we will be having evening rituals. it will be very simple and useful.. Interested people can join through zoom link.
Practice -
1.CHANDIKAPALLAVAPARAYANA which will be done by me.
2. Last half an hour people can join for chanting of some mantra which will be directed.
3. You need to have a lamp lit.
4. Will give you the explanation on concept.

5. All are welcome there is no fees for this prectice.

We welcome all of you for simple prectice.
