সম্প্রতি নয়ডার এক বিখ্যাত হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসকরা একটি বিরল ও জটিল কিডনি প্রতিস্থাপন সফলভাবে সম্পন্ন করেছেন, যেখানে প্রতিস্থাপনের আগে দাতা কিডনির মধ্যে থাকা টিউমার অপসারণ করা হয়েছে।

৬০ বছর বয়সী এক রোগী, যিনি গত দুই বছর ধরে ডায়ালিসিসে নির্ভরশীল ছিলেন, তিনি কিডনি পেয়েছেন তাঁর ৫৮ বছর বয়সী স্ত্রীর কাছ থেকে। কিন্তু এই ক্ষেত্রে ছিল দুটি বড় চ্যালেঞ্জ:

🩸 দাতা ও গ্রহীতার রক্তের গ্রুপ ছিল অমিল (ABO-incompatible)
🧠 প্রতিস্থাপনের আগে দাতার কিডনিতে টিউমার ধরা পড়ে

তবুও চিকিৎসকরা পিছিয়ে যাননি। বরং, তারা এমন কিছু করলেন যা সাধারণত কল্পনার বাইরে—

✔️ প্লাজমাফেরেসিস (Plasmapheresis) করে রোগীর দেহকে অ্যান্টিবডির বিরুদ্ধে প্রস্তুত করা হয়

✔️ “বেন্চ সার্জারি”-র মাধ্যমে কিডনি শরীরের বাইরে থাকা অবস্থায় টিউমারটি কেটে ফেলা হয়

✔️ এরপর খুবই সংবেদনশীল ও নিখুঁতভাবে কিডনিটি গ্রহীতার দেহে প্রতিস্থাপন করা হয়

💡 প্রতিস্থাপনের পর কিডনি সঙ্গে সঙ্গে কাজ করতে শুরু করে
💪 মাত্র কয়েক দিনের মধ্যেই দাতা ও গ্রহীতা—দুজনই সুস্থ অবস্থায় হাসপাতাল থেকে ছাড়া পান

A groundbreaking organ transplant procedure at Marengo CIMS Hospital in Ahmedabad has saved multiple lives. The heart of a 24-year-old from Harda now beats inside a 40-year-old woman from Ahmedabad, while his lungs were successfully transplanted into a 46-year-old man.

The complex surgeries, which lasted over 12 hours each, were performed by Dr. Jnanesh Thacker, renowned for conducting the country's first successful lung transplant. The donor, Sunil Rajput, tragically lost his life in a road accident in Harda, but his decision to donate his organs has given a new lease of life to others.

62 বছর বয়সী ব্যক্তি রিক টার্মিনাল পর্যায়ের রেনাল ফেলিওর এ ভুগছিলেন , এটি একটি এমন অবস্থা যেখানে কিডনি আর নিজে থেকে কাজ করতে পারে না।

এই ঘটনাটি নিঃসন্দেহে ভবিষ্যতে কিডনী ডোনার এর অভাব ঘুচিয়ে বিশ্বের অসংখ্য মানুষের প্রাণ বাঁচাতে সক্ষম হবে বলে আশা করা যায়।

41-year-old Indian 𝘼𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙣 found a new lease of life by the transplant team at Kauvery Hospital Vadapalani.

A 41-year-old man, who had experienced two failed kidney transplants in the past two decades and had been on dialysis, underwent a successful transplant in a Chennai hospital recently.

The man was initially rejected for a kidney transplant by a 𝙈𝙚𝙡𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙚 transplant team because of the possibility of rejection and infection.

Despite possible complications the transplant team in Kauvery Hospital carried out the procedure.

The patient overcame dialysis and regained normal kidney function one month after surgery.

Nephrologist Dr Prabhu Kanchi and kidney transplant surgeon Dr Swaminathan Sambandam in Kauvery Hospital Vadapalani said the patient's unwavering determination and the medical team expertise made the transplantation possible.

New Lease On Life At 49: Kiran Kumar's Journey To Recovery With A Complex Heart Transplant At BGS Gleneagles.

At 49, Kiran Kumar's daily walks felt like climbing mountains. Suffering from an extensive anterior wall myocardial infarction (MI) leading to relentless heart failure, his life was restricted and breathless. His turning point came in May 2023 when he visited BGS Gleneagles Hospital, experiencing chest pain and breathlessness.

Medical experts at the hospital identified severe damage to his left ventricle and pulmonary edema, complicating his condition further with diabetes, early chronic liver disease, and a blocked artery. Despite undergoing primary percutaneous coronary angioplasty (PTCA) and receiving medications, Mr. Kiran's health critically deteriorated, as evidenced by a low left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) of 15-20%.

In August, facing a rapidly declining quality of life, the option of a heart transplant was presented as a lifeline. Embracing this opportunity, Mr Kiran Kumar underwent the surgery on December 20, 2023. A skilled team, led by transplant surgeons Dr Balasubramani Govini, Dr Prem John, Dr Raghavendrra Chikatoor, alongside cardiac anesthesiologists Dr Sharanya Kumar and Dr Nandakumar, and cardiologists Dr Ravindranath Reddy and Dr PRLN Prasad, successfully conducted the six-hour operation. Within three hours, the donor heart revived, marking a milestone in Mr Kiran's recovery and medical history.
