🏳️‍🌈Follow-up post: Pride Healthcamp🏳️‍🌈

At the Pride Healthcamp we conducted last month, comprehensive blood parameters were tested for all patients. When the results came out, it was shocking to note that over 70% of the group showed some clinically correlated derangements clearly reflecting neglect, lack of awareness or poor access to healthcare.

We organized follow-up consultations by one of our most experienced consultant physicians and an awareness session on HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) and GAS (Gender Affirming Surgery) by a renowned reconstructive, aesthetic and plastic surgeon 🙌

The community representative said that the group was very pleased with the empathetic and detailed consultation process and also thanked us for the extended support provided with relevant specialists 😊

With this small step we have begun to bridge the gap in making healthcare more equitable ✅ and hope to continue providing accessible healthcare not only to the members of this group but also the transgender community at large 🌈
