Direct admission in MBBS and PG is possible in India through the management quota and institutional quota. These quotas are reserved for admission in MBBS and PG without appearing for the NEET entrance exam.
Management quota: Private medical colleges reserve a certain percentage of seats under the management quota. These seats are filled by the management of the college, and students can apply for admission through this quota. The admission is granted based on the student's performance in Class 12 or equivalent exams and their performance in the management quota entrance exam conducted by the respective colleges.
Institutional quota: Private medical colleges also reserve a certain percentage of seats under the institutional quota. These seats are filled by the college itself, and students can apply for admission through this quota. The admission criteria for the institutional quota vary from college to college.
To be eligible for direct admission in MBBS and PG through the management or institutional quota, students must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exams with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English (40% for reserved category students). Students must also have a valid NEET scorecard.
