ACUPRESSURE/ PUNCTURE
Acupressure or acupuncture is a major branch of alternative therapy where a cure is effected by applying known amount of pressure or by puncturing a needle on a known particular point, many understand it as a body work which involves pressing or inserting needle on a specific point but it is also important to know how much pressure or puncture should be given.
According to this philosophy, health is a constant flow of vital energy throughout the body which is called as Qi or Chi in Chinese, it works by releasing the blocked energy when we stimulate a specific point, these specific points are called as Acu Points.
The acupressure/puncture works mainly based on 2 principles
1: – The 5 elements theory
2: – Meridians
1:- The five elements theory
This theory says that our body is made of mainly 5 elements/energy which are present in the nature which are FIRE, EARTH, AIR, WATER AND WOOD, which should be in a balanced state, and any imbalance in these 5 elements causes disorder which we generally call as disease. When we activate acu points in a specific method these 5 energies get altered and balanced which further produces sound health.

2:- The Meridians
Meridians are the energy pathway of the vital energy which is called as Prana in India and as Qi or Chi in Chinese.
There are 12 major meridians which corresponds to the 12 major organs like Lungs, Heart, Kidney, Liver, Spleen, Large intestine, small intestine, Urinary baldder, Gall bladder Stomach.
These meridians have points on them where the energy stagnates or gets accumulated which causes improper supply of the energy to the organ which leads to improper functioning of the organ and ends up as a disorder or disease, by applying pressure or puncture this blockage will be released and the organ receives the energy and function well by which we get the effect.
