COVID19 GUIDELINES FOR SELF AND FAMILY
When any employee develops any symptoms of COVID-19, he/she shall the take note of the following guidelines,
• Stay home.
- As soon as you find any symptoms, get tested for COVID19 at nearby health centre.
- Do not panic if test result is positive, consult a doctor and follow the prescription advised by doctor.
- Most people with COVID-19 have mild illness and can recover at home without medical care.
- Do not leave your home, except for medical care.
- Do not visit public areas.
- In case you need to go out of the home, wear a double mask and see that you will not mingle with other people.
• Separate yourself from other people
- As much as possible, stay in a separate room and maintain minimum 8 to 10 feet distance from other family members and pets in your home. Ensure to open windows of the room if possible.
- Other house members should wear a Medical/(N95) Mask while in the same room with an Infectious person, not touch their mask or face during use, discard the mask immediately after leaving the room, and wash their hands with soap immediately.
- Visitors should not be allowed inside the house
- Use a separate bathroom.
- Use dedicated utensils for food and water
- If you need to be around other people or animals in or outside of the house, wear a double mask.
- Avoid public transportation, ride-sharing, or taxis.
• Take care of yourself and your family members
- Take rest and stay hydrated by drinking hot water frequently.
- Have healthy food and fruits
- Everyone in the household should wash their hands with soap and water regularly, especially after coughing or sneezing, before eating, after using the toilet, before and after caring for the infectious person and when hands are visibly dirty.
- Get the Covid-19 Test for other family members staying with you.
• Stay in touch with your doctor.
- Speak to your Doctor every day over phone and inform the doctor about your health condition, any improvement or deteriation in heath condition and follow the Doctors’ advice strictly.
• Monitor your symptoms
- Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, reduction in oxygen level or other symptoms.
- Please procure a digital Thermo Meter and Oximeter and frequently (thrice a day) check the temperature and oxygen level. If the Temperature is continuously higher ( > 100d) and/or Oxygen Level falls below 95, please consult your Doctor immediately and follow their advice.
• When to seek emergency medical attention
Seek emergency medical care immediately when you find any of the following symptoms,
- Trouble breathing
- Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
- Inability to wake or stay awake
- Pale, grey, or blue-colored skin, lips, or nail beds, depending on skin tone
• Resuming for work.
After completion of 14 days home isolation/medical assistance and if feeling comfortable and have no symptoms, one can resume for work without testing for COVID-19.
