We are honoured and elated to announce a collaboration with SN Praveen for Rotary Orchards Chaitanya Senior Citizens' Home working towards assisting the elderly with care, kindness and love.
Their noble efforts have made, “Home away from Home”, a reality today and have served the elderly with compassion all together.

Through this collaboration, we aim to bring an efficient healthcare service to the community and help spread love and care around us.

We envision to help the community grow in happiness and establish a stronger bond for a better tomorrow.

By Leela, a ROCSCH Resident - Today’s Ganesh Chaturthi celebration was out of the ordinary, something that none of us envisaged. Praveen had promised to make it extra special and so it was.
The day began with the girls setting out a colourful rangoli in our yard. Once activity picked up, the house was humming with preparations to welcome Lord Ganesha. There was unprecedented bonhomie among the staff and residents and so much fun to watch. The girls became hairdressers or helped model clothes. The joy that spread through the house was palpable. As I said before, the pictures have a whole story to tell. They seemed to be filled with joie de vivre, that which is always contagious.
Indumathi Gupta and Praveen SN set the ball rolling for the festivities by in the Lord in spirit to His Mom in waiting, who had arrived yesterday 😆 While Indu got busy with readying the offerings, Praveen embarked upon an elaborate and traditional Abhishekam. Everything about this house is laid back, knowing that things will happen in their time. There is no rigour in worship tradition as it is to each his own. There is no jostling for space, no anxiety about time and none whatsoever about missing out on events. All of us have ringside seats and I enjoy watching the expressions of fulfilment on the faces of the ladies. It took the better part of two hours to perform the Aarti, but there were no signs of shuffling feet or ennui although it was well past lunchtime. Lunch as expected was an elaborate affair with the kadubu reserved for dinner.
Animal Gods are part of our pantheon and for a purpose. They hold their own in our myths as important symbols of treating animals with compassion according to the basic standards of human decency. We invest them with other traits as well to suit our needs🤪
We had an unexpected bonus event. A visit to Praveen’s new assisted living facility Anandam. We returned highly impressed.
You might have noticed that these dispatches are cascading down your alley too often. The blame lies entirely with the calendar of events. If you feel that they are not infrequent, shout out loud ( SOL) and I’ll get there.

We are looking for an Accountant with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience.

Certification or Working knowledge of Tally is a must and should know MS Office.

Accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements, calculating tax payments and returns, and maintaining a book of accounts digitally.

Why You Don’t Want To Miss Being At Rotary Orchards Chaitanya.

Yet another fun evening as a prelude to Holi. It being a full moon day, dinner was organised in the courtyard. Pani Puri, Upma and a sweet made up the menu. More than the food it was the ambiance that Indu and her crew created. Tables of various sizes and shapes and enough chairs were commandeered and placed appropriately to seat all 80 of us.

The place was teeming with servers with the exuberance of youth. The result was a Sheraton like diner with the energy of a Vidyarthi Bhavan with food from Eat Street 🤣🤣👍🏾 Not money nor love can recreate what I saw this evening.

The smiles that adorn their faces is such an add on.
Do you still wonder if your twilight years can be fun. Take it from me. It can be if you are at Rotary Orchards Chaitanya 😍👍🏾

Fans and friends of ace film director Sukumar B celebrate his birthday at Rotary Orchards Chaitanya Senior Citizens' Home by treating a day’s meal for it's senior citizens and caregivers. . It was a pleasant surprise to see some of our senior citizens remember his creative contributions. Sukumar's movie was screened as a treat.

All hundred of us making up the residents and helpers trooped into our front courtyard in our wheelchairs, with our walkers or just hobbling out to witness the full moon. Mercifully we were all seated to watch Chandrama emerge from beyond the horizon and peaking through the tree canopies to emerge into a full display in the heavens. At one point, it was framed by the branches to present a splendid picture.
Today is an unusual Poornima, it being the 13th in the year while we have only 12 each year. The moon is the closest to the Winter Solstice.It also holds special significance to the Buddhists , Christians and certain sects of Hindus. Tonight will be the longest night.
The entire period of the emergence of Chandrama was accompanied by music by Lalitha Sriram and chanting by Indu. It brought in the austerity for the occasion. We were each given a small katori of water with raw rice, which we offered to the Divine in the form of Arghya also referred to as libation of water, which brought up the culmination of
As a chronicler of events at ROCSCH, I do this because I like to share my joys and I have so much of it coming my way thanks to Praveen and Indu, ably assisted by Vivek . A home for the elderly does not necessarily have to be a desultory place. Here’s the proof.

Today was yet another occasion to be together to celebrate Hanuman Jayanthi in our Sanctum sanctorum, the area of activity here at Orchards.

This was yet another effort by Indu to infuse energy into our community and she did it with elan. The customary Vada Mala adorned the deity while the flowers and the incense created the just right religious ambiance. Rendition of prayers rent the air and for 40 plus minutes the premises was positively charged.

The temple was brought to us into our vicinity Lunch was sponsored by the Ahalya Aiyangars and was truly sumptuous.

In the 7 months I have been here my Devotion Index has moved north.

We had a wonderful Vaikunta Ekadasi celebrations with Vishnu Sahasranama and Om Namo Narayana chanting. The 3rd picture shows us proceeding under the Vaikunta Vasal (Heavenly Gates) and we’re weighed down by our halos that we all acquired 🤪👏🏼 Notice the kesari coloured chrysanthemums on the railings. It being Margaazhi Shri Andal found pride of place in front. A very pretty picture indeed. That’s more festivities than I have experienced. Lots of food too. Holige, Sajjige etc.
