Couldn't have a better New Year start by standing at the 38th ’ , hosted by the Chapter at .
The conference theme, “Touching Hearts, Changing Lives: A Journey of Leadership,” wasn’t just a line on the backdrop. It echoed across conversations, pauses, laughter, questions, and the deep honesty with which school leaders spoke about today’s realities. Over four thoughtfully curated days, the intent was clear—to move beyond surface-level discussions and confront what schools are truly navigating: leadership fatigue, emotional overload, changing parent dynamics, student wellbeing, and the urgent need to humanise education systems.
I was deeply honoured to deliver the on “Fostering School–Home Partnership.” What followed was not a monologue but a shared reflection on why children don’t grow in silos, why teachers are the strongest bridge between school and home, and why parenting cannot be left to chance, screens, or occasional meetings.
The energy in the room was unmistakable—people smiling, nodding, laughing aloud, responding, and reflecting together. Many later shared that they wished the session could have gone on longer.
The conference itself was anchored by quiet, purposeful leadership from the Gulf Sahodaya ecosystem—leaders who make large systems humane through consistency and care. It was inspiring to witness the stewardship of Ravi Ayanoli, Chairman, along with Papri Ghosh, Secretary, and Anand R. Nair, Treasurer. The dedication of chapter convenors across regions—especially Meenal Bakshi—was evident in the precision, warmth, and inclusiveness with which the conference was curated.
A very special note of gratitude goes to Asna Nafees, Convenor, whose quiet persistence and belief played a meaningful role in bringing me into this forum. Equally significant is my heartfelt thanks to Nageswar Rao Dosapati the person who introduced me. Connections like these often shape journeys long before we recognise their impact.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Deepa Malik, Padma Shri awardee, addressed on resilience, courage, and leadership. Her presence was a reminder that leadership is not defined by convenience, but by conviction. The opening expert session by Pratima Gupta added further depth as she spoke candidly about the pillars of a resilient .
Personal moments for me was meeting fellows from my hometown - Amit Patel, Pratima Gupta, Biju Varghese, Principal at Al Buraimi & myself; different journeys, shared roots, and a common commitment to education with integrity.
What stayed with me was not just the content, but the collective intent—to return to schools not merely informed, but transformed; not carrying slides, but carrying responsibility.
When school leaders come together with openness and humility, something shifts. When schools and homes walk together, children don’t just perform better—they feel safer, seen, and supported.
