🤔 Ever wondered if all those pregnancy scans are really necessary?

When you’re pregnant, one of the big questions is, “How many scans do I really need?” The answer might surprise you—less than you think.

🏥 Hospitals often prescribe scans at every visit, but midwives take a different approach. Early scans aren’t always necessary unless there are specific concerns.

🤱 Instead, they rely on time-tested methods like fundal height measurement, palpation, and fetal heart rate monitoring to track your baby’s growth—without constant imaging. Trust your body’s natural process—pregnancy is not an illness.

🕒 The only scan recommended for every pregnancy is the 20-week anatomy scan (also known as the anomaly scan, though midwives often prefer a term that reflects normal rather than pathology).
