Understanding Gut Disorders (Moving from symptom management to the root cause)
The gut isn’t meant to work all the time.
Indigestion, bloating, acidity, and gastritis are signals from a gut that’s tired, irritated, and overwhelmed.
When gut symptoms show up, we reach for quick fixes—antacids to reduce acid, enzymes to speed up digestion, herbs or pills to calm the system.
But these only silence the symptoms for a while. They don’t address why the gut is reacting in the first place.
The real problem lies in the long-term, excessive consumption of processed foods that require less acid production, or protein foods that demand high acid production—combined with unhealthy eating habits such as frequent or excessive eating, irregular meal times, and hurried or unmindful eating.
While the body is intelligent and adapts to regulate acid levels, constantly forcing it to produce too much/too little for long periods weakens the gut’s natural rhythm and resilience.
Added to it are stress, emotional unrest, and intense activity immediately after a meal. The gut simply gives up.
Sometimes, it even becomes a breeding ground for worms—not the cause, but a sign of an unclean system.
Hurry! Worry! & Curry (spicy)! are the main causes.
✅ Remove the foods that irritate: spicy, greasy, high-protein and processed.
✅ Give the gut rest—time gaps between meals and an early dinner.
✅ Introduce micronutrient-rich, fibre-filled whole plant foods.
