"Korean Skin: Myth or Reality?"
K-Beauty didn’t invent good skin — it popularized a methodical, hydration-first approach that helps skin look luminous. But is “Korean skin” (aka glass skin) a myth or a realistic goal? Short answer: Reality but with nuance.
Recent clinical work shows two important things:
• Barrier-first formulas that speed barrier recovery and reduce trans-epidermal water loss, an objective markers of healthier, plumper skin.
• DNA-derived polynucleotides/PDRN- have emerging clinical evidence for improving hydration, texture and regenerative responses
Bottom line: Glass skin is achievable, but it’s not magic. It’s a reproducible outcome of barrier repair, consistent hydration, targeted actives, and occasional professional treatments.
