BIT is based on Dermatoglyphics, which is the scientific study of fingerprints through which three basic patterns of fingerprints can be recognised. The lines or ridges of an arch run from one side of the finger to the other with an upward curve in the centre. In a loop ridges begin on one side, loop around the centre and return to the same. The ridges of a whorl form a circular pattern. Dermatoglyphics a Greek word: ‘derma’=’skin’ and ‘glyphics’=’carving’
Dermatoglyphics is the scientific study of fingerprints. The term was coined by Dr. Harold Cummins, the father of fingerprint analysis. In humans and animals, dermatoglyphics are present on fingers, palms, toes and soles, and give details of embryogenesis which is the development period of a foetus, between 4 weeks and 5 months. The formation of the hands begins very early in foetal development. By using dermatoglyphics we can accurately understand the number of brain cells of the left and right brain. By the number of brain cells of the child, we can determine the intelligence of the child in different fields like language, mathematics, science and activities music, drawing, sports etc. CONNECTION OF BRAIN AND FINGERPRINTS:

In 1969 the scientists have published the research results on the different stages in formation of skin grains in humans. These skin grains are formed during the 13th to 24th week of the embryo(foetus) which cannot be changed in individuals’ entire lifetime. BIT is based on dermatoglyphics i.e. scientific study of skin ridges which are unchangeable for the whole lifetime. In BIT, ten fingerprints are scanned using a scientific device.
