Refractory IIH with CSF Rhinorrhea treated with Venous sinus Stenting successfully , Kanakapura Road.
Venous Manometry showed pressure gradient of 11mmHg.
VSS is 2nd line of management in IIH and it deserve better recognition. Dedicated Trials are being done and results are awaited. VSS has done much better than TP Shunt & optic nerve fenestration in many comparative studies worldwide.
Technically very simple & much safer than many neurointerventional procedures done routinely

Specialists will conduct a brain CT or MRI scan to confirm the diagnosis. If the patient reaches within 4.5 hours of the onset, the care would involve the administration of a clot-dissolving injection (intravenous thrombolysis) to clear the blocked vessel.

Case of Cerebral Dural Arteriovenous Fistula! Admitted 3 times elsewhere with recurrent drug resistant seizures without any definitive diagnosis. Referred for diagnosis & further care
He was treated for CVST 3 years ago! Diagnosed as stroke on imaging and was Aspirin due to poor awareness!
Happy to give definitive treatment & diagnosis!

Middle aged lady with strong family history of many succumb to ruptured aneurysms in the past.
Loops are interventionist enemy! Large wide neck parapcom aneurysm treated with Flow diverter placement & loose coiling of the sac. Meticulous planning & intense thought process went on to mange the case successfully

Spinal DAVF presenting with slowly progressive paraparesis & LETM with flow voids on MRI. Curative Embolization with Glue was done successfully. Elegantly treatable condition not to be missed by the radiologist on imaging.

Venous Sinus stenting is rapidly emerging as an alternative treatment to medically refractory IIH cases [pseudotumor cerebri] cases. Dedicated venous stents like River & Boss stent will be available soon & will be a game changer! Awaiting results of 4 RCTs!

Complete reconstruction of the long segment dissected carotid artery by eCAS in a patient with progressive left hemiparesis. Patient improved clinically well and holding on with DAPT. Tough to reconstruct with BMS at bends, would always prefer self expanding long Braided stents if available. Having long Braided stentes like long LEO on shelf for emergency CAS is crucial. I could manage to do decent job without the one.

First successful case of Mechanical thrombectomy at St. Marthas hospital, Bangalore. TICI 3 recanalization in < 20 minutes achieved with excellent clinical outcome.
Extending state of the art stroke care to as many as possible is achieved only if we establish critical services at all potential places.
