Enid Blyton ! My love for reading started with these! It took me to far away magical lands with fairies, elves, dwarfs and very down to earth kids ,( read..like me in those days 🥹 ) willing to go on an adventure ! All it took was a book to start exploring !

I love medical fiction, especially thrillers from Robin Cook. It's of course the edge of the seat and almost clinical in its description of the scenarios, but what strikes home is the scary thought that most of his stories are closer to reality than we like to believe ! But I guess that's what makes great fiction ..or tales stranger than fiction ?!

Gripping tale replete with symbolism, Indian itihasa, cults all women into an intricate plot that leaves you wondering and saying "it could have happened". Well researched, touches reality, yet is in the world of fiction.

"Ahalya Draupadi Sita Mandodari Tara " the Panchakanyas , a shloka for them is recited every morning and is known to dispel sin. For me as a woman they are inspirational! Unconventional, learned and most importantly with a mind of their own. my favourite author does true justice to the character of Tara in this novel. A reimagination, which brings forth all Taras emotions and thoughts. Especially when Tara a strong woman with the knowledge of medicine and a good administrator in love with Vali says ,"are our desires , our dreams relevant to the course of destiny at all" ...and several.other observations like these touch a raw nerve in a woman's heart, and are truly relevant even today. The incident of Rama killing Vaali is illustrated through a surge of emotions and logic amazingly well. There is no vilification or praise , it is for the reader to decide or accept and embrace all characters with their various hues of grey, dark grey blue and ..well maybe black ? A great read!

Truly blessed to share that I have completed "adhyayana" of the sacred Bhagavad Gita 🙏 today . This journey took over one and a half years to complete. Inspired by my mother and supported by all of you. Hare Krishna ! All part of Lord Krishnas divine plan. This was a wonderful spiritual journey . Hari Om ! big thank you to my Guru Maa Gayatri 🙏

Indian civilization and the Hindu way of life has strong roots in science and has contributed immensely,from the concept of zero to astronomy. Our learned Saptarshi were an integral part of this. weaves his story around this and the Pralay, or destruction and beginning of civilization. Positioning our Satharishis Atri Vashistha and others as scientists of an advanced civilization. The story is engrossing. It sounds like a feasible theory ! Of our itihasa or history. The World is on the brink of a war...( Reality strikes?) How will we save the seeds of humanity from destruction? Will man's ego see sense and stop heading towards a catastrophe? Can the Satharishis save it? Drawing on the richness of the Vedas, shastras and the matsya Purana, this is a fantastic tale worth reading ! .chor
