At present we care for 55 women, all between the ages of 75-100 years.

“Ashraya” is a Non-Governmental organization established in the year 2005, to provide shelter and care to aged women who were either abandoned or could not be cared for by their kith and kin for various reasons.

We were delighted to host a heartwarming cultural program at our Thalaghattapura home, organized by Samrat Dr. Vishnuvardhana Kannada Sena Samithi on the special occasion of Naresh’s birthday.

Led by Samrat Krishna and Dr. A. P. Karate Srinath, the event brought music, joy, and a wonderful sense of togetherness to our residents. The soulful singing and vibrant energy truly made the day memorable for everyone present.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the organizers for celebrating this meaningful occasion with our residents and spreading happiness through their thoughtful initiative.

Moments like these remind us of the power of community, compassion, and shared joy.

We were honored to celebrate International Women’s Day at Ashraya Seva Trust, Thalaghattapura, with a wonderful visit from the team at St. John’s Hospital, Brigade Meadows.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Associate Director Rev. Fr. Dr. Wilson Cheruvill, Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr. Jayashri, and Nursing Superintendent Sr. Sinciya Sebastian, along with their team, for spending meaningful time with our residents and making the day so special.

Their visit, kind words, and thoughtful interaction brought immense joy to the elderly women at our home. Moments like these remind our residents that they are valued, respected, and cherished members of our community.

On behalf of everyone at Ashraya Seva Trust, we sincerely thank St. John’s Hospital, Brigade Meadows, for their compassion, support, and for celebrating the spirit and strength of the wonderful women in our home.

On the 24th of this month, we were blessed to conduct a Sri Satya Narayana Puja at our Thalaghattapura Old Age Home.

The day was filled with devotion, prayers, and a deep sense of peace as our residents gathered together to seek the blessings of Lord Vishnu for good health, harmony, and well-being.
Moments like these bring immense spiritual comfort to our elderly residents and remind us of the strength that faith and togetherness provide.

We are grateful to everyone who helped make this puja possible and for the continued support and prayers extended to Ashraya Seva Trust. May the divine blessings be with all.

Heartfelt Thanks to Miller Knoll!

We were delighted to welcome the wonderful team from Miller Knoll to our Thalaghattapura Old Age Home this week. Their generous contribution of a washing machine will go a long way in easing our daily chores and improving the comfort of our residents.

The team also spent time with our elders, filling the home with music, laughter, and warmth. Moments like these remind our residents that they are cared for and cherished by the larger community.

Today, we were honored to welcome members of the Rotary Club of Bangalore Highgrounds to Aashraya Seva Trust. Their visit brought joy, smiles, and unforgettable moments to our elderly residents.

The team organized engaging activities like singing, dancing, and a fun quiz, filling the atmosphere with energy and happiness. It was a truly touching experience that created a special bond between generations.

We sincerely thank the visiting Rotarians Nandan, Dheeraj, Madan, Umar, Deeksh*tha, Sanjana, Vijay, and Param for spending their valuable time with us and making the day so meaningful

Yesterday, we were privileged to host a special physiotherapy camp conducted by the dedicated team from Abhigyan at our old age home. It was a deeply helpful and educative session for our residents, offering guidance on mobility, posture, and exercises to ease everyday discomforts.

We’re truly grateful to the Abhigyan team for their time, care, and commitment to the well-being of our elders. Your support makes a meaningful difference in their lives.

We are delighted to share that our Founder and Chairperson, Smt. Rani K T, was honored by Paramakshara Charitable Trust during their 6th Founders Day celebration for her unwavering commitment to the welfare of elderly women and her tireless service through Ashraya Seva Trust.

This recognition is a testament to over two decades of compassion, resilience, and dedication. What began as a personal mission has today become a safe haven for over 75 women across our two homes in Bengaluru.

We thank Paramakshara Charitable Trust for recognizing her work and shining a light on the importance of caring for those who have no one else to turn to.

Let us continue to serve with the same spirit and heart.

On the occasion of International Yoga Day, we were privileged to have yoga teacher Sushma conduct a peaceful and rejuvenating session for our residents. Her gentle guidance and compassionate presence brought calm, energy, and many smiles to the women at our old age homes.

Moments like these remind us that wellness has no age limit — and that a little movement, breath, and connection can uplift spirits in powerful ways.

We were delighted to welcome members of the Innerwheel Club of Bangalore to our Old Age Home recently. Their visit brought joy, music, and a refreshing wave of positivity to our residents.

A special thanks to Kavita Pishay for thoughtfully organizing the event, and to the talented singers Narasiman Kannan and Divya Raghavan for their soulful performances that truly touched the hearts of everyone present.

These moments of laughter, music, and connection mean the world to our residents, many of whom rarely get to experience such vibrant cultural programs. Thank you for bringing peace, comfort, and entertainment to our home—we are deeply grateful. 🙏
