🦷🎗 *World AIDS Day | Dental Screening, Treatment & Awareness Camp*

📍 *Venue:* Bheemanakuppe, Bengaluru
📅 *Date:* 1st December 2025
🤝 *Organised by:* Department of Public Health Dentistry, RRDCH in association with the Government of Karnataka (Janaspandana Program)

On the occasion of *World AIDS Day, a comprehensive **dental screening and treatment camp* was conducted to promote awareness, early detection, and prevention.

✅ *78 patients* were screened
✅ *17 patients* received treatment
✅ Referrals provided for advanced care at *RRDCH*
✅ *AIDS awareness & prevention education* shared
✅ Information on *effects of AIDS on oral health* provided
✅ *Oral health education* for all participants

Through interactive sessions, the community was empowered with vital knowledge on *HIV/AIDS awareness and oral healthcare*. Together, we step towards a healthier and better-informed society. 💙🌍

💛❤ *Kannada Rajyotsava 2025 – Celebrating 70 Glorious Years of Karnataka* 💛❤

Our college proudly celebrated the *70th Kannada Rajyotsava* on *29 November 2025, honoring the rich **heritage, culture, and linguistic pride of Karnataka*. 🌺✨

🎉 The celebration was graced by our esteemed dignitaries:
👨‍🏫 *Dr. Edwin Devadoss* – Dean
👨‍🏫 *Dr. Girish H. C.* – Principal
🎖 *Chief Guest: Prof. Dr. Suresh V. Nadagoudar* – Registrar & Vice-Chancellor, MGRDPR University, Gadag

🎤 *Dr. Sindhu K* – Master of Ceremony

The program began with the *Karnataka State Anthem* 🎶 and the *lighting of the ceremonial lamp* 🪔 by the dignitaries, symbolizing unity and pride.

🌟 A special felicitation was given to *Ms. Dhanushree (1st BDS)* for scoring a *perfect 100 in Kannada* in her II PUC examinations — a true inspiration! 🏆📚

Cultural performances including *Bharatanatyam, melodious singing, and energetic dance* filled the atmosphere with joy and tradition. 💃🎵
The celebration concluded with a warm *light meal* and heartfelt gratitude expressed in the *vote of thanks*.

This event truly reflected *unity, cultural appreciation, and proud participation* from our staff and students, making it a memorable Rajyotsava celebration for our institution. 🇮🇳💛❤

🦷✨ Dental Screening, Treatment & Awareness Camp – Channapatna
The Department of Public Health Dentistry successfully conducted a Dental Screening & Awareness Camp at Government PU Boys College, Channapatna on 24th November 2025, in collaboration with the Youth Red Cross. 🙌❤

🕙 Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
🏫 Venue: Govt. PU Boys College, Channapatna

🌟 Camp Highlights:
👥 A total of 250 individuals were screened
🩺 38 patients received on-spot dental treatment
🪥 Attendees were educated on oral health care and given a live demonstration of correct tooth-brushing techniques
🏥 Necessary cases were referred to RRDCH for further treatment and follow-up

The initiative aimed at promoting better oral hygiene, early diagnosis, and accessible dental care for the community. 🌿💙

The Department of Public Health Dentistry, Rajarajeswari Dental College & Hospital ( ), celebrated National Tooth Brushing Day 2025 with an impactful Oral Health Education & Awareness Program for the students of K. Gollahalli Government Primary and Middle School, in collaboration with the Children of India Foundation. 🏫👧👦

🪥 The event featured:
✅ Live Tooth Brushing Demonstrations using dental models 🦷
✅ Interactive sessions on oral hygiene and dental care 🗣
✅ Distribution of FREE Oral Hygiene Kits — toothpaste & toothbrushes 🎁
✅ Oral Health Screening for 180 students, with 40 receiving treatments 🩺

The initiative helped students understand the importance of good oral hygiene and encouraged them to practice proper brushing techniques every day. 💫

A big thank you to the enthusiastic students and teachers for making this program a success! 🌟

✨ Department of Prosthodontics, Crown & Bridge ✨

The Department of Prosthodontics proudly celebrated International Day for Older Persons by organizing a Free Dental Screening and Treatment Camp — a heartfelt initiative dedicated to the health and happiness of our senior citizens. 💖🦷

We express our deepest gratitude to our Hon. Chairman, Dr. A.C. Shanmugam, for his thoughtful gesture of gifting hand towels, making the elderly feel valued and cared for. 🙏💐
A special thanks to our beloved Dean, Dr. Edwin Devdoss, and Principal, Dr. Girish H.C., for their continuous support and encouragement towards community welfare. 🌟

Our sincere appreciation to IPS Bengaluru Branch for sponsoring fruits 🍎🍌 — a gesture that brought smiles and warmth to our beloved elders.

The event was graced by Dr. U. Krishna Kumar (HOD), Dr. Shwetha Poovani (Professor), and Mr. Krishna Murthy (Director, Mathruchaya Trust). Nearly 50 inmates were screened, including 15 bedridden elders examined in their cottages. 🩺

🥗 Diet & Nutrition Counseling by Dr. Srishti, Dr. Sushma J, and Dr. Nischitha A.B..

🎭 Street Play: “Trust the Trained, Not the Tricksters” – raising awareness on safe dental care and the dangers of quack treatments. 🚫🦷

The day was truly meaningful as our staff, postgraduates, and interns came together to spread smiles, compassion, and awareness on the importance of oral and overall health for the elderly. 💕🌟
