'The Dawn' founded by Varsha Sarwade, a certified counsellor is here to guide people to see different perspectives of a situation enabling them to see a new beginning in every end, a light at the end of every tunnel…. Varsha has exposure to different cultures in India and US, in India due to her father’s transferable bank job and in US, due to her husband’s IT profession. Travelling to different places she has experienced life in its various hues and colors, both urban and rural. Opportunity to travel to US gave Varsha a realization that we humans in our lives face and are plagued with similar challenges and problems. Varsha’s professional life started even before she completed her graduation in Electronics, by getting a breakthrough in LIC. With a successful tenure of over 6 years at LIC, she worked for a while in an MNC and finally she got a chance to work with children in a play school. This opened up the long-time passion of helping the community around with the day to day worries they face. This passion was relegated to the back-burner for some time as family took priority. ‘The Dawn’ is now here to help anyone who has the courage to realise & recognise that they want a new dawn in their own life or lives of their near and dear ones.

What is counselling?? Everyday, counselling takes place on various levels; children are counselled by parents, patients by doctors, clients by their lawyers and so on. Hence we can understand that problems in today’s fast paced life are limitless and so are the people who can render counselling. But there is one major difference between the counselling offered as in the above mentioned cases and professional psychological counselling and that is ,the latter is not advice giving. A counsellor believes that every person has an inbuilt capacity to understand and solve his problems, but stress, some crisis or unforeseen incidents in life makes it difficult for a person to find this capacity on his own. A counsellor helps you understand yourself better through self-exploration and in the process, become a fully independent and effective person. When people are unhappy they often want someone to mull their thoughts and feelings over with. But in today's world a good listener is not always easy to find. Although friends and family can be supportive, we often feel we can't talk to them for a variety of reasons. We may not want to 'put upon' them, we may worry that what we say will be passed on, or we may feel that they are imposing their own solutions on us. They might even be part of the problem! These unsolved problems then simmer and grow inside us to proportions that they may affect our behavior and consequently, our daily life. Focused psychological counselling provides a safe, non-judgemental space in which you can explore your challenges, find healthy ways to cope, and move forward with your life. And most importantly, everything discussed and shared will be totally confidential. All your concerns are taken seriously. You can discuss your issues and problems over here on Facebook, you can post if it’s a point to discuss as others also can participate or send a private message for confidentiality
