We tend to admire, and even aspire to be people who are calm and collected, no matter what is going on around them... Somewhere along the way though, we tend to downplay that to be human, is to have a heart... to have a whole gamut of emotions about things and people that matters to us... and these are not signs of weakness or of something wrong with us.. they are signs that we are living, caring beings... and this is what we feel when there is a gap between what we want and what we have... and the bigger the gap, the bigger the feeling... so do you have to be hard on yourself? Turn away from your pain? Or can you find a different way to be there for yourself- like a kind friend?
