The simple habit of reflecting on what you’re grateful for can actually lead to a happier, more content life. All it takes is a few moments of your time everyday and a gratitude journal (I like to have a pretty book) to record your thoughts. Gratitude journals are not unlike the diary you kept as a teenager, but instead of writing random thoughts about your day, you write about the things you’re grateful for which could be big or small.

Each of our gratitude journal will be different. Some people will simply write about their day while others might choose a specific gratitude theme to focus on. The most important part is that you pick a schedule that works for you and your lifestyle, like I spend a few minutes before hitting the bed at the end of the day.

The first and easiest step to starting your new gratitude journaling habit is buying a journal. When choosing a gratitude journal also consider whether you prefer to write in a physical journal or record your thoughts digitally and accordingly buy or identify an app.

If you want to try a digital app, try the mobile app “Gratitude” its an app created by an Indian 😊 and is a simple and colorful app (do let me know how you like this app)

Start Counting your blessings and enjoy better health and happiness. Keep your journal ready while I tell you how to start writing in my next post!!!!

The main difference between a gratitude journal and other similar items, like planners, diaries, and notebooks, is the focus of the action that we take....... Each item has a place and a purpose, but for the most part, they are not interchangeable.

Organizing your week ahead with a planner may incidentally give you things to look forward to and be grateful for, but chances are there will be some events or responsibilities you are NOT so grateful for in your planner.

Likewise, you will probably write down both positive and negative events from your day in a diary, meaning that the focus is not solely on what is good or helpful in your life. Finally, a notebook generally includes value-neutral notes and reminders, rather than lists of the good things in your life.

The gratitude journal is unique in this respect—it is the only item that is solely dedicated to noticing and appreciating the positive things in your life. To get the maximum out of your gratitude journaling practice, try to keep it this way.

It’s not inherently bad to write down the negative things that happened or the challenges you faced during your day, but unless you are grateful for it, don’t write it down in your gratitude journal. Keeping your gratitude journal a place for only grateful thoughts will help you realize the benefits of a regular gratitude practice. Treat it with respect and care, it is a scared space filled with positivity. Don’t pollute it!!

Gratitude journal. Gratitude is the most desirable trait and quality in which it is usually not enough to simply decide to be grateful—we must actively practice it to cement its place in our lives.

There are many reasons why gratitude is such a desirable quality, aside from its inherent goodness. As I recently wrote in a one of my posts on the benefits of gratitude, performing simple daily acts of gratitude can have a big impact on our health and happiness.

These effects are particularly evident in the practice of gratitude journaling. It only takes a few minutes a day, but it can give you a lasting mood boost that can take you from feeling “okay” to feeling “great” on a more regular basis.

If you’re wondering what a gratitude journal is or how you can jump on the journaling train, remember to read my future posts to learn everything you need to know about keeping a gratitude journal! Simple ideas and tips to make Gratitude and Gratitude journaling apart of your life.........

You do not have to be an artist to enjoy the benefits of art therapy to help relieve STRESS. In fact, most of the exercises in our HAPPYOLOGY workshop rely not on the final product you create but on the therapeutic, meditative ritual of the creative process. If you're intrigued by the process of relaxation through artistic imagination, we've compiled a starter kit to get you on your way.

Simple ways to explore your inner creative voice while turning off the negative influences that so often get in the way. These techniques will serve as the artistic equivalent of a long, hot bath.
