While awareness around mental health has grown, access remains a challenge for a large part of the workforce. That's where organizations can make a meaningful difference- not just by acknowledging the issue, but by enabling support at scale.

In this excerpt from 𝗠𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲, our CEO, Mahua Bisht, discusses the gap between awareness and access, and why workplaces must be part of the solution.

He first noticed it physically. The fear. The palpitations. The inability to focus. The isolation. Even after medical tests came back normal, something still did not feel right.

And that is what makes his story deeply relatable.

Many people do not reach out because they can clearly name what they are feeling. They reach out because something feels “off” for far longer than they can explain.

Since then, millions of conversations have happened across workplaces, campuses, and communities. Conversations about stress, relationships, uncertainty, grief, decisions, and the many complicated things that make us human.

Over the years, these conversations have reached 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟭𝟭 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝘀, 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀.

And every single one has reminded us of the same thing: Support matters most when it is within reach.

Earlier this year, we completed 𝟮𝟱 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟭𝘁𝗼𝟭𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽. That milestone felt like the right moment to take the next step in our journey.

The same professional counselling support trusted by organisations and institutions for decades is now available directly to individuals and families.

Because sometimes you should not have to wait for a programme, a workplace benefit, or the “right” circumstance to seek help.

Sometimes all you need is someone who will listen.

If you’ve been meaning to reach out for support, this space is now open to you. Connect with our counsellors today: Link in Bio!

Loneliness doesn’t always look the same. Neither does anxiety, burnout, or emotional overwhelm.

One of the biggest shifts in recent years is that people are finding the language for what they’re feeling a lot earlier than before. What earlier stayed hidden behind “work stress” is now showing up in conversations around isolation, uncertainty, relationships, identity, caregiving, burnout, and simply trying to hold everything together at once.

It is also becoming harder to separate personal wellbeing from professional wellbeing. The impact almost always spills over.

These are some of the changing realities around mental health and workplaces that 𝗠𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗦𝟮 reflects on.

Featuring insights from our 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 - 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, Piyali M. Catch the full episode for more thoughtful observations on how employee mental health is evolving across India’s workplaces, only on 𝗠𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗦𝟮, ‘𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸' now streaming on JioHotstar

You have heard this story. But not from this point of view.

That’s exactly why, this Mental Health Awareness Month, 1to1help is focusing on helping you identify and understand these patterns early.

Because awareness is the first step… and seeking support is the next.

Long before awareness, there was need.
Long before acceptance, there were people struggling in silence.

For our co-founder, Archana Bisht, that gap was impossible to ignore. What started as a response to it became the foundation of 1to1help.

A journey shaped by one belief- that support should be accessible, credible, and human.

Support was limited, access wasn’t clear, and for many, reaching out felt like a big step.

Cut to today, and a lot has changed. Conversations are more open, workplaces are stepping in, and support is becoming easier to access.

But some things haven’t changed. It still takes courage to say, “I need help.” And that first step continues to matter just as much.

That’s what continues to shape our work, and why it’s encouraging to see these stories now reaching more people.

We hope Molecules of Hope inspires more individuals and organisations to take that step, and make support a little more accessible for those who need it.

𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲'𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀.

Through those conversations, we've come to understand something profound: people don't struggle to recognise that something is wrong. What they struggle with is saying it out loud.

There is hesitation. There is doubt. And then - there is courage. The moment someone chooses to reach out.

That moment is everything. It's how we think about emotional wellbeing — not as a service, but as something that begins with confidential access, trust, and the freedom to be heard without judgement.

And we love it when that quiet, powerful work steps into the light.
We're thrilled to share that is part of 𝗠𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲, now streaming on ! 🎉

Because when one person chooses to speak, something quietly beautiful happens. It gives someone else the courage to do the same.
That ripple matters. You matter.
