This temple is also referred to as Nilkanthdham Poicha or Poicha Swaminarayan Mandir. Nilkanthdham temple is approximately 80 kilometers from Bharuch and 60 kilometers from Vadodara by road. The nearest railway station is Vadodara, located around 61.9 kilometers away, and the nearest airport is also in Vadodara, about 65.8 kilometers from the temple

The King of Swords holds an unshakable faith in his ability to differentiate what is truly right and wrong, true and false.

We might imagine him like a King Solomon, who solves a maternity battle by suggesting the baby be cut in two and each woman given half. (It’s clever—the true mother reveals herself by surrendering her right to the baby in order to save it from this judgment, but still.)

The intellectual prowess of the King of Swords, while extremely impressive and useful, ultimately alienates him from his ability to feel and relate. He lacks the skill of empathy. Thus, within us, the King of Swords often acts as the hyper-rational lawgiver. In his best expression, he protects us with his unwavering moral certainty. In his worst, he reigns as internal tyrant. Then he becomes the imperious self-critic, chastising our every choice with a ruthless logic.

However, when we embrace the positive King of Swords, we may find that he provides us with the mental strength to make solid plans, cut through emotional overwhelm, and take up the mantle of authoritative living.

Brahmeswara Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India, erected at the end of the 9th century CE, is richly carved inside and out. This Hindu temple can be dated with fair accuracy by the use of inscriptions that were originally on the temple. They are now lost, but records of them preserve the information of around 1058 CE. The temple is built in the 18th regnal year of the Somavamsi king Udyotakesari by his mother Kolavati Devi, which corresponds to 1058 CE.

The balance between give and take is one of the hardest lessons to learn in human nature.

Oftentimes we are pulled toward one or the other: either we give and give and give of ourselves until the world becomes sour to us, or we feel always needy, hating outsiders for relying on others’ care.

And so often we are blind to the imbalance of these energies. When we give too much of ourselves, our generosity becomes not a gift but a duty. We create unconscious expectations. We force ourselves to learn more ways to fail.

And when we take more than we should, we either deny the reality of our need or become suffocated by the guilt. We feel ashamed, disempowered, unable to envision different paths forward.
