60 hours Yoga Alliance continuing education program.

This interactive mentorship over the next 6 weeks will provide you with the feedback and support you need to refine your skills and grow. The program supports your growth in an authentic way that is unique to your individual style, where you will be encouraged to reflect and think critically about teaching yoga and developing your skills in the
direction you desire.
Namrata Sudhindra and Anugraha Unnikrishnan lead this program and will guide you through the process of developing your voice and style. They will help you build the confidence needed to be effective and connected to your students, to achieve goals, define objectives, create practices to nurture your students' needs, build your tribe,
expand your knowledge, explore topics that support your growth and really shine your light out into the world!

This online program will run on weekends. (Saturday and Sunday)

Really enjoy my yoga sessions with Nams and Nikaya yoga.I started yoga in 2020 and it's something that I've come to look forward to immensely.I continued my practice even though I had COVID and it really helped me get through those tough 3 weeks.Another time I feel it really helped was in my lead up to my first 50k ultra run.I find my mobility,stability and flexibility improved and this helped me avoid getting injured even with some very long practice runs.I'm looking forward to another great year with Namrata and my yoga buddies in 2022!

Starting small and building up incrementally

It is not meant to be easy on your first try. This is part of the lesson of the practice with Nikaya Yoga. Instead of making the practice easy, Namrata coaches us to make our minds strong.

I can almost hear Nams saying “find your edge”. When you meet your challenge is where your yoga begins. The struggle is the teacher and she helped me find my teacher.

Each class is designed so we start small, and build up to a surprisingly advanced pose. And the collection of classes build up to a set of other advanced poses. The progress is imperceptible, and I surprise myself on days when I smoothly enter into a head stand seemingly without warning. That’s when she encourages us to toss around our limbs and have fun!

Her classes have helped me tune into my mind and body like no other. The feeling of transcendence, of oneness with self and the world, of floating and what I can only describe as a feeling of not existing - that’s my reward.

Yoga has been shown to improve overall health when practiced regularly. As with many forms of exercise, it can be modified for people of varying abilities. Yoga with a chair is a gentle form of yoga that can be done sitting on a chair or standing on the ground while using the chair for support. It is beneficial if you have limited mobility or if you want to practice yoga while at work. Here are some yoga poses with the chair to get you started.
