Day 4 – Dhammapada Festival
104th Birth Anniversary of Venerable Ācariya Buddharakkhita.

On the fourth day of the Dhammapada Festival, a Food Dāna was organized at Kidwai Cancer Institute of Oncology, Bengaluru, where approximately 500 patients were served meals.

Most Venerable Mother Park Chung Soo personally visited the hospital and compassionately served food to the patients.
Though she has served countless people around the world, we were happy that Venerable Mother herself had this opportunity to personally serve and share compassion with the patients.

We express our sincere gratitude to the hospital management for giving us this meaningful opportunity. Special thanks to Mr. Sharath and his team for their efforts in organizing this noble act of generosity.

Mahabodhi Meditation Center welcomes all the males aged above 18 years for a 7 Days Pabbajja Course (Temporary Monkhood), a program that allows individuals to experience the lifestyle of a monk for a short period of time.

What is Pabbajjā?
Pabbajjā is the noble path of renunciation—an opportunity to step away from worldly distractions and cultivate inner purity, wisdom, and peace. As the Blessed One, the Buddha, taught, beings remain trapped in samsāra due to defilements like greed and attachment. The monastic path offers a unique chance to break free from suffering and walk towards Nibbāna.
