Honoured to share that I was selected for a prestigious, fully-funded international training program in Normothermic Regional Perfusion (NRP) and Normothermic Machine Perfusion (NMP) in Texas, USA.

This month-long advanced training was conducted under the mentorship of the Texas Organ Sharing Alliance (TOSA), San Antonio, and LifeGift, Houston.
It focused on building surgical and programmatic expertise to support implementation of these cutting-edge technologies in India, with the mission to improve organ preservation and transplantation outcomes.

Grateful for the opportunity and the guidance that will help bring global best practices back home.

Our Millennium MBBS Batch (2000–2005) came together in Belgaum from 19th–21st September 2025 to celebrate 25 years since we began our medical journey at KLE Society’s J.N. Medical College.
The highlight was the Guru Vandana Program on 20th September — a heartfelt tribute to our teachers who shaped us into who we are today.

Last week wrapped up the Annual Conference of the Karnataka Association of Surgical Gastroenterologists and GI Onco-Surgeons (KASGO) at KMC RI-Hubballi.

Honoured to participate in a panel discussion on Post-Hepatectomy Liver Failure and, as the Honorary Secretary of KASGO, present our annual report – highlighting the progress we’ve made and outlining our future plans.

We were privileged to have Dr. Ishwar R. Hosamani, Director-KMC RI, as our Chief Guest and to felicitate Dr. Sanjay Govil, Senior Liver Transplant & HPB Surgeon, for his outstanding contributions.

It was a privilege to participate in the 5th Foundation Day Surgical Videos Workshop & CME at my alma mater, PGIMER, Chandigarh, focused on “Diseases of the Pancreas.” I had the honour of moderating a scientific session on the “Management of Necrotising Pancreatitis.” The event was also an excellent opportunity for academic exchange and to reconnect with mentors, colleagues, and contemporaries, including Dr. Lt. Col. Sarang Bharti.

Today, I had the honour of delivering an awareness session on organ transplant surgery for the wives of Jawans from the Parachute Regiment, RT Nagar, Bengaluru.

This meaningful initiative, jointly organized by the Army Women Welfare Association ( ) and the Bangalore Metropolitan Ladies Circle, aimed to spread knowledge and empower families with vital awareness about organ donation and transplantation.

A heartfelt appreciation to the brave Jawans and their families for their service and sacrifice. Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this noble cause — Service Beyond Duty.
