In our world, we lay the dead to rest.
We share memories, shed tears, and search for solace.
But what about in the wild?
No eulogies, no final farewells.
Only instinct, stillness, and unspoken emotions.
Yet, this little bird stayed behind.
Pressed against its loved one's lifeless body.
Not for food or shelter.
But for a bond that's hard to put into words.
We assume emotions are unique to us.
That sorrow is reserved for poets, and grieving is a human privilege.
But nature tells a different story.
Here, on barren earth, there's no audience.
No cameras, no onlookers. Still, it mourns.
Maybe not with tears or comprehension.
But with a presence that speaks volumes.
For even in the wild, the heart knows what it's lost.
And sometimes, the smallest of creatures bear the heaviest feelings...
