*Bankura Hosts Successful Chronic Disease Consultation Camp and Scientific Seminar*
Bankura witnessed a significant medical and academic event on 29 March 2026 with the successful arrangement of a Chronic Disease Consultation Camp and Scientific Seminar at Debarshi Hotel. The programme was organised under the initiative of renowned homoeopathic physician Dr. Partha Pratim Mandal, whose contribution to Classical Homoeopathy in South Bengal spans over three decades.
The highlight of the event was the presence of Prof. Dr. Rabin Barman, former Head of Department at the National Institute of Homoeopathy, Kolkata. Widely respected for his expertise in Classical Homoeopathy, Dr. Barman demonstrated his meticulous approach of prescribing a single, well-selected remedy based on detailed case analysis.
During the camp, more than 150 critical cases were attended to, with preliminary diagnoses conducted by Dr. Mandal. The event also served as a valuable learning platform for practising homoeopathic doctors from the district.
In the inaugural session, Dr. Rabin Barman and Dr. Panchanan Kundu, Principal of Bankura Sammilani Medical College, emphasised the importance of integrating homoeopathy with modern medicine and surgical practices for comprehensive patient care.
The event was graced by distinguished guests including Dr. Sudeb Sinha (Secretary, IMA Bankura Branch), Mr. Sumit Banerjee (Health World Hospital and Medical Research Institute, Durgapur), and Mr. Debabrata Ghosh (Tinku), noted social worker from Sodepur.
Sponsored by the Shalimar Group, the programme marked a significant step towards professional enrichment and advancement of homoeopathic practice in the region.
