# Two successful case of tumour operation of old age dogs #
No.1 - The dog is 15 years old
No.2 - The bitch is 13 years old

The main reason for posting these two cases is to give confidence to pet owners that age is not a factor for surgery. The risks of this surgery are much lower if the patient’s health condition is stable. It has been observed that patient owners are less willing to undergo surgery on their elderly pets. This decision becomes very detrimental to their pets and it becomes more risky at advanced stages but then surgery is the only option.
Therefore, it is advisable to do any surgery like tumor excision at the early stages of any elderly pet if the physical condition permits.

*Regarding early spaying of female dog.*

Estrus cycle is a normal physilogical phenomena in female dog. It is controled by some hormones. These hormones have many physiologic and metabolic activities in the body. These hormones are playing many mojor roles in the body to protect female dog from many diseases like other animals including human also. We can not make our prediction. We can’t say that every female dog will suffer from Pyometra or breast tumor or overian cancer those are not neuter in early life. We as a doctor can do aware the pet owner to take care or notice about any gynaecological problem of their pet and inform to the vet to take proper step at early stage. The major side effects of early spaying is urinary incontinence which is generally not controlled by medicine or may need prolong medication .
On the other hand if we encourage early spaying in bitch , there is no need of studing gynaecology or gynaecological oncology .

The only benefit of doing spaying is to control unwanted pregnancy of stay bi***es.

Successful treatment of a Golden Retriever dog suffering from vector borne disease. This dog (Sammy) was suffering from acute hepatitis infected by Hepatozoon canis. Its total bilirubin reached 10.55 and after treatment it is close to normal (1.75). Now this dog is doing well. Along with my treatment, the patience, devotion, observation and love of the owner (Mr. Baswajit Basu) towards the dog and the proper care of Sushmita and Saikat (Paravet) helped this dog to return to a normal life.
