🎉 Late Post: Physiotherapy Research

A few months ago, while applying for an ICMR grant as a Principal Investigator, I realized the ePMS portal only listed academic designations for PI and Co-PI. Surprisingly, there was no option for Clinical Physiotherapists or even the term Physiotherapist.

After several discussions and follow-ups, I’m pleased to share that, with the support of the Program Officer, the designation Physiotherapist has now been added to the portal.

This is a small but significant step, allowing clinical physiotherapists to be recognized as Co-PIs and contribute to research projects more effectively.
In today’s evolving healthcare landscape, research should not be confined to academic roles. I hope this change inspires more clinical physiotherapists to actively engage in research.
