একটি Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) বাচ্চা। বিগত 28শে আগস্ট 2022 আমার ক্লিনিক এ আসে। বাচ্চাটির কথা বলতে গিয়ে তার মা কেঁদেই ফেলে। বাচ্চাটি কারোর সঙ্গে কথা বলে না, সমবয়স্ক কারোর সঙ্গে কথাবলা খেলাধুলা করতে পারে না। স্কুলে কোনো কথা বলে না। পড়াশোনা বোঝার কোনো ক্ষমতা নেই। বিগত পরীক্ষার খাতা সম্পূর্ণ ফাঁকা দিয়েই এসেছে। অনেক চিকিৎসার পর যেটুকু আমার পরিচিতি হয়েছে সেই নাম শুনেই এসেছে। যথারীতি বুঝলাম অনেক আশা নিয়েই এসেছে যে খুব দ্রুত সুস্থ হয়ে যাবে। তাঁদের বোঝালাম চিকিৎসা জন্য সময় ও ধৈর্য্য রাখলে কিছু করার চেষ্টা করতে পারি। কথা বলে বুঝলাম ধৈর্য্য নেই। না থাকা স্বাভাবিক। ছোট থেকে মেয়েকে নিয়ে অনেক কিছু চেষ্টা করেও ফল নেই।
তার পর আর আসেনি। হটাৎ বিগত 22শে জানুয়ারি, 2023 প্রায় 5 মাস পর বাবার সঙ্গে হাজির। নিজেও অনেকটা অবাক হই যে 5 মাসে এতটা উন্নতি দেখে, নিজের নাম থেকে পরিবারের সবার নাম, সঙ্গে নিজের ক্লাস, সাবজেক্ট অনেক কিছুই বলতে পারলো। সঙ্গে আগের চুপচাপ আর নেই, চঞ্চল, তার বাবা বললেন পরীক্ষা এবার অনেক ভালো দিয়েছে, পড়াশোনাও করতে পারে।

An attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) child. Last 28th August 2022 come to my clinic. Talking about the child, his mother cried. The child does not talk to anyone, cannot play and talking with peers. Does not speak at school. No ability to understand studies. The past exam papers came completely blank. After many treatments no result. Came to my clinic hearing my name. As usual I understand that it comes with a lot of hope that she will get well soon. I explained to them that I can try to do something if they have patience for treatment. After talking, I understood that there is no patience. It is normal not to have. Tried many things with the girl from childhood but no result.
They didn't come after that. Suddenly last 22nd January, 2023 appeared with her father after about 5 months. I am very surprised to see so much improvement in 5 months, now she can tell her own name to the names of all the family members, along with her own class, subjects and many things.
