🧠 Bathinda Neurospine & Trauma Centre
I am Dr. Ronyl Kaushal from Bathinda Neurospine & Trauma Centre. Today, I want to discuss a very common condition that can sometimes become life-threatening — Headache.
We all experience headaches in our daily lives. But when should you see a doctor?
🔴 1. Sudden, Severe “Thunderclap” Headache
If you suddenly experience the worst headache of your life — like a hard blow to the head — this is known as a thunderclap headache.
It may be accompanied by vomiting or even fainting.
This can occur due to a ruptured brain aneurysm and is a medical emergency. Immediate medical attention is crucial.
🔴 2. Severe Headache with Aura
If your headache is associated with ringing in the ears, dizziness, vision problems, or loss of balance, it could be a severe form of migraine. The good news is that migraine can be treated effectively with proper medication. Do not ignore these warning signs.
🔴 3. Headache with Vomiting & Balance Issues
Many people mistake headache and vomiting for acidity or gas and simply lie down. However, if the headache persists and balance does not improve, it could be an early sign of a stroke (blood clot in the brain).
❗ Never ignore a new, sudden, or unusually severe headache.
Consult a neurosurgeon or neurophysician immediately for proper diagnosis and treatment.
